Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to present this stylish 1962 Buick Skylark 2-door hardtop for sale on consignment with our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. The Skylark debuted in Buick’s line up in 1953 as a Limited Edition Roadmaster model but by the early 60’s it had taken on a different form representing a compact Buick in luxury trim. Painted in Black with a White hardtop, you’ll know this is a Buick as soon as you see those signature “portholes” on the front fenders – a styling feature that has carried over to modern day Buicks. Perhaps the most exciting part of this entire car is the presence of the period correct 215 CID V8 which was one of the most advanced V8s in production in the contemporary era with an all-aluminum block and heads, saving a ton of weight in the process and meaning you’ll get more horsepower per cubic inch than in an iron block V8. The seller is stating that the engine was rebuilt when the car rolled over 100,000 miles and other recent maintenance includes the carburetor, radiator hoses and a new battery installed. Endless fun factor can be found with the 4-speed Borg Warner manual transmission, another period correct offering with this vehicle. The interior of this 1962 Buick is a time capsule on its own featuring Red vinyl bucket seats that the seller believes are original, although the carpet has been replaced over the life of this car. Even the stock AM radio is still functioning which is something to brag about! For Buick muscle car fans who are seeing the price of fan favorites like the Riviera or Gran Sport skyrocketing, this 1962 Skylark 2-door hardtop is worth taking a look at. It’s refreshing to see a car like this so well preserved and clearly has been taken care of. [ omitted ]. [ omitted ]. Vehicle Description Vehicle Original VIN : 3I1569832
