Originally founded as a farm equipment company IH got into the truck game early. By 1907 they were building trucks for farm and commercial use alike. International had a great reputation for making reliable apparatus including trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, refrigeration units and heavy-duty farm equipment. The truck division had been well known and competed with other heavy hitters like Mack and Diamond T for big trucks and light duty trucks like Ford, GM and Dodge. By the 1960s IH was even building more passenger type trucks like the Scout and Travelall. After the 1980 model year International moved their focus to heavy duty trucks and the era of IH passenger trucks came to an end. Our featured truck is from the 1951 model year. This L-110 series truck shows well in its tri-tone black, red, and white paint scheme that is a nod to the International Harvest logo. Powering this handsome classic truck is a 220 cubic inch inline six-cylinder motor teamed up to a 3-speed column shifted transmission.
