Vehicle description

Selling this car for a good friend Adam. This has got to be one of the cleanest bugs I"ve had the pleasure of borrowing :) With a tremendously well done full body off restoration and respray in a stunning Sea Sand original color, this car will show up proud anywhere it goes. ZERO rust on the car. . anywhere. Also no signs of bondo or lousy bodywork coverup crap on this car. It"s clear it was entirely disassembled when it was done. Don"t be fooled by some trim taiped respray, make sure its done right. This one is. Motor was entirely rebuilt with freshly machined case and top quality parts. 1600dp with a cheater cam. Starts with the flick of the key, idles great, and runs cool all over the state no problems. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Radio is an original though untested and not hooked up, it just completes the dash so nicely, and may in fact work. Motor sounds too good with the Vintage Speed Stainless exhaust to worry about no darn tunes anyway ;) Also is equipped with a Vintage Speed shifter. Everything else has been so carefully left true to stock setting this bug aside from many others for all the right reasons. Has been tastefully lowered a click in the rear and spindles up front. Recent work includes all new ball joints, some brake work, NOS bumpers with over riders as seen, steering box adjustment, general tune up oil change etc and a few other bits to properly prepare for selling to a close friend. Plans changed and the sale fell through, and with a growing family and the new addition of a 1971 Westy, the bug is up for grabs. You"ll be hard pressed to find another one this nice especially here on the east coast. For BIN it will come with a brand new wood slat roof rack and a few pieces of vintage luggage if its a Christmas gift. Will add a pic of it on when I"m able to get one.
Bid with confidence and don"t sleep on this one. Few local guys swear they are coming "this weekend with cash" (where you at Lou!? Haha) but nothing has been committed to yet, so if you want the car please do not wait to reach out! We"d love to see it stay local but cash is king.
Fully titled and registered in MA in owners name ready to transfer.
As these things go, some key points to make and understand before bidding. Given the age of the car and what it is, and of course the venue in which it’s being listed, I am offering this sale AS-IS, no warranties outside of my word on the items mentioned above, and no refunds of any kind once the deal is done. This said PLEASE ask all questions, come and see/inspect the car if you’re able, and get all of your own permissions/financing/space cleared in your garage BEFORE you bid. BUY IT NOW can be agreed on at $19,500 or upon discussion, so please reach out if this is of interest. The bug is also going to be listed elsewhere, on the forums and hobby sites, and for sale locally, so first to pay is the new owner. Otherwise, bid what you can afford to and are committed to pay, and we will see from there! PayPal for deposit is OK, the rest will have to be wire, cash, or certified bank check (PP Fees too high for full payment unless you want to cover them). Nothing gets handed over till funds clear. Pick up here at my place in Worcester is expected within 5 business days of end of auction. Shipping is responsibility of the buyer, but I will of course do anything I can on my end to help get that sorted. I’ve both shipped a car home and away so I’m happy to lend my experience onto whomever might not have before to make it go smoothly. I have all the paperwork, clear/clean title, ready for new owner to register in their name etc, all will be sent certified mail once funds are cleared. In closing, my reputation on here means A LOT to me, and my enthusiasm for these cars and the people that enjoy them is my favorite part of this culture. If there is anything you would like to know or share regarding this incredibly well done little bug, I’d love to chat. Please feel free to consider my feedback, and or speak with anyone that has purchased a car from me in the past if you have any concerns. Thanks again for the interest and good luck with the bidding :) Cheers, Brando
