Vehicle description
Lincoln Continental.
One owner for the last 27 years has kept this classic 1963 Lincoln Continental garaged in sunny San Diego, putting 7000 miles on it during that time. Original California Black Plates! Previous owner of over 10 years lived in Monterey. Ermine White exterior, two-tone Honey Pearl Beige vinyl interior that matches factory pattern and colors.
Power seats, windows, antenna, door locks, and trunk release. All car lighting and lighters work, clock rebuilt with quartz movement. Other options include front & rear speakers and day-night rearview mirror.
Interior: Very good condition, with the seats, carpet, and headliner having been redone. The real wood trim on the doors and dash has been refinished. No cracks in the dash pad, and the interior chrome is excellent. The A/C blows cool (not cold); it needs to be serviced. The AM radio does not play - only static.
Exterior: Prior owner repainted car in factory Ermine White. Generally, the paint shows well except for the following issues: (a) paint is peeling on top part of rear left door; (b) there is a small indentation on the driver side door; (c) minor surface rust on hood and trunk and small patch of rust at bottom of left rear door. The floors and underside of the car are solid. See pictures.
Mechanical: 112K original miles. Over $1,000 brakes service just performed: new wheel cylinders, brake hoses, brake switch, power brake check valve. Previous owner reported a partial engine rebuild and transmission refurbishment at 105K. Over the years, current owner replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets, alternator, voltage regulator, fuel pump, water pump, power steering pump, mufflers and exhaust, and rear leaf springs.
Sale includes original car jack, owner’s manual, maintenance manuals, and some spare parts. Trunk liner is original and worn. Pictures are recent and accurate. Clear title. Hagerty Price Guide lists the value of an average condition 1963 Lincoln Continental at $22,300. This vehicle is above average, and the reserve on this fine example is substantially below that.
I am listing this vehicle for my brother-in-law, who has decided to part with his dream car in retirement. Ask any questions, and I’ll get you the answers.
