Vehicle description

I"ve owned a few minis now, and this is by far the nicest one to date. From the first day I took ownership of it a few years back, to driving it halfway across the country, to cars and coffee Sundays, grocery trips and carving up the white mountains, this little coupe has never let me down. I looked a long time for a Mk1, countrywide, that was an original left-hand drive car without any rust till I found this one in Kansas. I immediately jumped on the opportunity to buy it, booked a flight to Nashville, and drove it home to MA. Couple little things on the road but she came home happy and on her own 4 (10" albeit!) wheels. I"ve since made a few adjustments, tuning, head gasket, upgraded starter, carb rebuild, radiator, etc. etc. primarily as needed or preventative. New wheels are 4.5 inch wide cooper steelies with new tires on 1” spacers. I also will include a set of genuine 10" minilites with older tires for the buy it now price or otherwise they will be sold separately. Clean and clear Massachusetts title in my name for easy registration and or export. Solenoid push-button starter moved from its problematic location to just under the key. Still push button go! The car starts right up, warm or cold and idles on command. Dash pod was changed out to cooper style from stock seven/850 round pod. Still needs some wiring there. Body is repainted many years ago and still looks excellent, rust free top and bottom. All lights work, front back brake directional etc. are inspection ready. Front seat belts. Seat upholstery is excellent throughout and the headliner is nice as well. The interior looks every bit as good as the exterior. Comes with 4 up rally lights and polished bracket, currently removed, if you want them. The motor was swapped before my ownership to a tune 998 and the car pulls along wonderfully. Shifting is direct, accurate and the clutch is strong and true. Steering is exactly what a mini offers its driver, and the best feature of these cars this one included. Wood rimmed wheel installed looks excellent and I do have the original in good shape if you prefer. All glass is good and appears original. Rears are pop-outs and work as they should. Overall, it"s a damn shame to be selling this car but I"ve faced the decision to keep this or my 73 911. . (sorry… no contest!) or pay for more storage this winter (wife demands garage space this year!) This mini will be an excellent acquisition for whoever buys it, serves as an investment given its a true LHD Mk1 rarity with very limited modifications. If you"ve been looking for a while now is your chance. Every bit as fun as a genuine cooper, nearly as rare, and for half the cost of one in this condition. As these things go, some key points to make and understand before bidding. Given the age of the mini and the venue in which it’s being listed, I am offering this sale AS-IS, no warranties outside of my word on the items mentioned above, and no refunds of any kind once the deal is done. This said PLEASE ask any and all questions, come and see/inspect/drive the car (with proof of insurance and funds in hand please) if you’re able, and get all of your own permissions/financing/space cleared in your garage BEFORE you bid. BUY IT NOW can be agreed on at $18,500 or upon discussion, so please reach out if this is of interest. The mini is also going to be listed elsewhere and for sale locally, first to pay is the new owner. Deposits are non-refundable. Otherwise, bid what you can afford to and are committed to paying, and we’ll see from there! PayPal for deposit is OK, the rest will have to be wire, cash, or certified bank check (PP Fees too high for full payment unless you want to cover them, in which case that’s fine). Nothing gets handed over till funds clear. Pick up here at my house in Barre MA is expected within 5 business days of the end of the auction. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will, of course, do anything I can on my end to help get that sorted. I’ve both shipped car home and away so I’m happy to lend my experience onto whoever might not have before to make it go smoothly. I have a clear and in-hand title needed to register nd or ship internationally ready for the new owner, which will be sent certified mail once funds are cleared. In closing, my reputation on here means a lot to me, and my enthusiasm for these cars and the people that enjoy them is my favorite part of the hobby. Please feel free to consider my feedback, and or speak with anyone that has purchased a car from me in the past if you have any concerns. Thanks again for the interest in this awesome little mini, and good luck with the bidding :) Cheers, Brando
