Vehicle description
1955 Buick Century
I will be listing a few cars here in the next week or two for my family. We are reducing are number of cars, so please see my other listings as well. I am not a dealer. This is a great looking and driving Buick. Very nice car for all your cruise night events, local car shows, or just drive for fun! This was the smaller body Buick like the Special model, but with the bigger Roadmaster engine. Fastest 0-60 and 1/4 mile times of all of the major us production cars in 1955. One of the first muscle cars!
Details/Features: 322ci Nailhead V8 Engine (4 BBL, 236 HP) Dynaflow Transmission (2 Speed Automatic) Factory Power Steering Factory Power Brakes Wide White Wall Tires Good working factory gauges and speedometer Original Deluxe Radio (with working bar and foot pedal signal seeking) Electric Clock (also works!) Beautiful original dash and steering wheel Beautiful original car inside and out Tidy engine and trunk compartments Recent brakes, check up, tune-up, etc.
The original 322 V8 runs smooth, quiet, and makes very good power. The transmission also operates well at all speeds. Overall, the car runs and drives excellent and is easy to drive. Drives like a good 1955 Buick should. Everything works! Even the gas pedal start. It handles very well and takes little effort to steer and stop. Bring your friends, children, or grandchildren out and go cruising!
The exterior is a beautiful original color combination and is very nice. Chrome is very nice also! You can tell this has always been a good solid survivor car and was never a rust problem car . . All of the glass is in good condition and the windows all go up and down well. The interior is also quite nice. The doors, hood, trunk all open and close with ease. Underneath the car looks good and solid as you would expect. Surely a car you will be proud to be seen cruising around in!
Please see the photos and ask whatever questions you might have.
I reserve the right to end the listing early at any time for the right offer. The car could be for sale locally as well.
What could this car be valued at? If you look up NADA, you find that a car like this in excellent condition showing minimal wear holds a value of $43,900.00! These cars are climbing in value very quickly. You might want to grab this one before someone else beats you to it. Hard to find these cars especially at this price!
I welcome personal inspections from potential buyers. Shown by appointment.
Drive home or I can help ship this car to your door at a reduced rate via enclosed transport. If you are a long distance or overseas, I will try to work with you on the shipping. Please contact me for details.
