This is an Amazing 61 Rag Top Pro built Real Deal Baja Bug. Street Car built to actually run the Baja 1000. I"m a collector and recently traded one of my classics for this. . I havent been into VW"s since I was a kid but the build and attention to detail on this killer package hooked me. Original California Rag Top in excellent low mile condition all around. RUST FREE Classic bug has been been incredibly engineered and built as a FAST RELIABLE street car and fully capable of competing in 1000 mile off road races! Incredibly well preserved and maintained. No Expense Spared. . 100"s of hours and many thousands invested on Every aspect of this build. . engineered and built to the max specs. . 2180cc with all forged internals and built for custom NITROUS injection which is hooked up but I never used! Fully integrated racing spec custom roll cage front to back, fully built heavy duty suspension. . triple shock rear and full custom double arm front. . Porsche steering, Bus trans and racing clutch with hurst shifter. Full gauges, Vintage race seats upholstered and aircraft mounts and harnesses from a fighter jet. etc etc etc. There is nothing undone on this car. Looks, runs, feels, and drives great. . excellent street manners and rolls with the 4x4"s off road! Fantastic weekend cruiser or addition to any collection. . daily driver if you like while it increases in value. . :) A true head turner and a blast to drive. I have tons of spares for it new and used that will go with. .
Body is super straight and Rust Free. Fit and finish are quite good. Recent Repaint presents beautifully with a few blemishes. Seals and rubber are great. . new rag top. . 20 gal certified 3 chamber fuel cell. . the roll cage and bumpers are fully integrated. . racing spec. . this is no bolt on crap here. .
Interior is great as well. Seats, panels, look great. . Full Custom gauges, carpet is worn. . I"ve ordered new. . Seats are period racing with fully adjustable aircraft grade mounts and harnesses. . headliner is intact and good. . new rag top. . fully padded roll bar. . nice controls . . feels solid and tight. Updated sound system and CB not working currently. . I havent messed with them.
Fully built 2180 CC Motor starts, runs, and idles excellent. . Super responsive and nicely tuned. . I"m guessing 125 ish hp. . built for custom nitrous injection. . I never used it. . external filter and coolers. . electronic ignition. . super trap stinger sounds amazing, not obnoxious. . Upgraded bus (much stronger) 4 Speed trans with upgraded clutch shifts smooth through the gears. Suspension feels tight and handles excellent. Goes down the road straight with no wiggles, shimmies, or shakes. . custom lockers. . Stops straight and sure. EXCELLENT driver. . ready to roll!
Overall this is a Super nice little classic bug in fantastic condition all around. . Awesome weekend cruiser, show car, or addition to any collection. I am a Z collector. . this is a great one for any Z car enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool vintage sports car at a great price.
