“Used, at 150,000 Kms. Have had it 2 years, 50,000 kms. Carpets look pretty decent, but some in the back are starting to fray on edges.one mirror cover was struck, if you look really close, you can see some cracks in the paint.front bumper underneath has a small dent (visible in pics, if you zoom in - not that visible in real life - because your line of sight is higher.a couple scratches here and there.suspension could use work in the next 50km's I'd expect.engine goes through some oil in 5000 kms between oil changes, about 1/2 l. I understand this is common with the VG engine.”

Vehicle description

Partner wants to get a van, but you don’t want to give up on life? Read on. This thing has a VQ53DE , that’s right, the same engine that’s in the 350Z, making 260 buff horsepowers. Is AWD, or RWD if you wanna get sporty - and even has a center locking differential for sand and snow. Seats 8 in leather and alcantra seats And has more gadgets than would be reasonable from 2003. This thing is ready to go as a fast van, street statement or adventure camper.
Lets get to the nitty gritty. I’ve had it for 2 years, since 100,000 Km. I have needed to do front brakes (same as a nissan quest) and front bearings, so I did them all at about 120Km. Tires were replaced with all seasons earlier this year and I added a custom welded 2” hitch from CWF Fabrication on yellowhead.
The Elgrand is FAST. feels faster than it should be. It uses the V6 from the 350Z, and although detuned to 260 hp, it feels really lively, compared to other vehicles of this type, and given the size. The highway star is an offshoot version of the Elgrand aimed towards a younger demographic, and features a significant bodykit, lower suspension, and really cool leather center seats, with Alcantra sides. It comes with different wheels that are an inch bigger, Chrome front grille, black leather shift knob, and dark grey interior. Some of the cool features for a 2003 include: Intelligent key - approach the front doors or back liftgate, and unlock with a press on the handle. Starting is done by twisting the ignition column, but key insertion is not required, they stay in your pocket the whole time. Run the van in rear-wheel drive, or automatic 4 wheel drive , and it’s amazing. If you are on really slippery surfaces, and going under 80km/h, you can lock the center diff, and that ensures your wheels will all turn at the same rate. It would be difficult to get stuck in this thing. Shift on the fly with tip-tronic controls Multi-function screen in the center of the dash that you can fold in different angles towards you. Some of the cool features included on the screen are real time fuel mileage readout, expected Km’s till empty, average speed, time driving, and a maintenance section where you can input your requirements. Eg If you change oil and select 5000km, the van will flash a “pit” warning on screen when it’s time to change oil. Backup camera , with guidelines that change as you move the steering wheel Front cameras on the bumper showing left and right of your van Steering wheel controls for audio , and other features you’d probably only use in japan (like voice command and GPS) 160W 6 speaker “Elgrand super sound system” Both side doors and back “auto-close” meaning that you get the door close to closing, and the van will suck them in to closed. power door on the left that you can activate from the keyfob, or from a button at the drivers seat. Triple zone climate control (driver, passenger and rear) Rear remote control for audio and rear heat controls One of the really cool features is the flexible seating. Rear seats can be flat, or split down the middle, and each can be folded up to the side of the van, so you get a full cargo area. Middle seats have a center console that can move to the front seats, or all the way to the back. If folded flat, it can be an ottoman for the middle or back seats. If upright, it is a seat, and if it is doubled over, it is a table with cupholders. It also features a storage compartment in the base, under the seat. I’ve tried to capture all of that in a photo collage. The outside middle seats can turn and face backwards, or fold flat. All seats fold flat and can become a great bed for camping!
Very spacious and comfortable.
Please note that the VIN used " 00000000000000000" is not the actual VIN. In Japan, they use a Chassis number, and the one for this vehicle is: NE51051431. If this is used in the Vin field, the ad gets rejected.
