1991 Austin Rover classic mini for sale. (UK) ACTUAL VIN: SAXXL2S1020488811 picture of VIN plate and title listed This is a UK car exported to the US. It is a MINI City E which was later modified for a retro look (restomod )by adding a cla ssic mini truck/van grill which gives it a very iconic look. This was done by a young owner in the UK. We have traced its origin to Maidston southeast of London based on its UK license plate “J906 KKJ” registration.
It has 875XX miles. Authentic right hand drive (RHD) from the UK. 1275cc carb-HIF44 engine with a 4 speed manual transmission 7.5” Cooper S Brakes (to fit 10” wheels). The Red wheels are believed to be Weller steel reverse rims (gives the deep dish mag look) Atlas whitewall (this classic is used in the advertisement for 10” wheels for Mini) Uprated HD adjustable front tie rods with Poly and rubber bushings HI-LO (suspension adjustable ride height)
Interior refreshed; new carpet and modern MINI front seats from a 2012 R58/R56 (we also have the mambo seats that came with it). It has a unique checkered flag headliner can been seen on close up pictures. Also, has single speedo gauge for that retro look.
We have replaced all the rubber for ball joints, tire rod ends, CV joints, replaced rubber front subframe mounts with solid/aluminum mounts. Also have small hub caps inserts that fit in center of wheels
Other replacements are hazard and headlights switches, turn signal switch, 2 relays, steering column brackets, and right rear brake line. Both rear brake cylinders, Aluminum radiator, water pump and thermostat and various light bulbs. Fusible ignition link. Added cat converter, rerouted breather for proper recycle of gases. Replace bronze bushing and oil seal of the right differential pot joint. Replace exhaust with RC40 exhaust Changed all fluids Preston anti-freeze , Brake/Clutch Fluid Pentosin Super Dot 4, K&N Gold Oil Filter, Kendall GT1 20W-50 Racing engine oil (high zinc), Rain-X Windshield washer fluid.
This classic is very iconic and appears in a lot classic mini internet searches. Google the license plate” J906 KKJ” and select images. Google “classic mini cool” or “classic mini whitewall tires” etc. People on various classic mini forums and Face Book (FB) pages have told us it had been featured in a UK Mini magazine but we have not been able to locate the issue.
Known issues, some bubbling in paint, some cracks in paint. The heater core had a slight leak, and will need repair or replacement. (Currently hose is setup to bypass the heater). Slight oil leak will provide replacement oil seal of the right differential pot joint.
The Car is in Running condition, drivable . A fun blast from the past ride.

This car is fun to drive, it is still a Project, it will need some work to make it a show car. But a project that can be enjoyed as you drive it around.
