1987 Aston Martin DB7 * * NO RESERVE * * (This car is being re-listed due to the previous winner failing to complete the sale previous auction # 153809501893, previous selling price $4550.00)
History . . This Aston Martin is from an estate, the previous owner was a collector and this car was in his shop. It has been parked for the at least 4 years that I know of, perhaps longer. He bought it damaged and intended to repair it, he bought parts for it and stored it under a car cover inside but never started the repair work. I don"t know of its history before then but I found a copy of a car fax in the car that may shed some light on it.
Body. . Outside of the obvious damage to left side the rest of the body is in excellent rust free condition. The lights are all good, the windshield and both side door glass are good but the rear window and 1/4 windows were vandalized by a BB gun (these windows are available on auctions now. . 1/4 glass 89.99 and rear glass 549.99) There is damage to the front suspension but it is easily available from any mid 80"s Jaguar XJ series as they share the same parts. Included is a replacement lower side effects panel, a replacement front fender and a replacement front bumper cover. The grill radiators and so forth are not damaged. The air bags did not deploy. Besides the left side damage the remainder of the body is dent and rust free. In the notes I found in the car the previous owner considered the drivers door to be repairable. (The previous owner also purchased a Jaguar XJS to use for parts when repairing the Aston Martin. This parts car is available to the purchaser at no charge if desired).
Mechanical . . I have no idea what the mechanical condition is outside of being collision damaged. It has low miles and appears to have been well looked after but I was advised that a super charged car needs to go through a comprehensive start up procedure when it has been sitting for a long time. The battery is stone dead, one of the Niche wheels is missing but they are still available, it currently has the spare on it.
Interior . . The interior leather and dash are in outstanding unmodified condition. The dash retains the original entertainment system.
Over All . . This car could be repaired or used for parts or as a vintage racer, in any case the majority of the parts to repair the car are included so you won"t need to face the task of locating them or having to pay for them. If you always wanted to own an Aston Martin but couldn"t afford to pay the high price they bring then this is your chance to get one at a true bargain price, put some work into it and then cruise like James Bond.
