Vehicle Details LOADS OF INFORMATION HERE ON MY WEBSITE: https:/ shottscruisers.smugmug.com/Vehicle-Specs-and/2001-UZJ100The famous Land Cruiser named “Roklimo” by Four Wheeler Magazine in 2004 is up for sale. It breaks our hearts to sell this legendary Land Cruiser…and yes, it is legendary. In fact, it was featured in the documentary DVD movie “Legendary Land Cruisers”. It has also been named “Trail Limo” by Off Road Magazine in 2006. Then there are other magazine articles it has been in as well. 2004 in Toyota Trails…complete write-up. Then 4WD Toyota Owner in 2005 from Cruise Moab. Toyota Trails (again) in 2005 filming Legendary Land Cruisers DVD. Finally, Four Wheel Drive and Sport Utility in 2008 from Pyeatt Draw in AZ. Like I said…you will own a piece of Cruiser history if you buy my truck!Roklimo was the first fully modified UZJ100 Cruiser for off-road use thus all the press. It can run anything from shopping malls (Limo) to the Rubicon (Rok) and like. It is completely Moab-ready if you want to take it there. At its current mileage we have not yet even seen a Check Engine Light. Land Cruisers are the most reliable and overbuilt stock vehicles on the planet. Look online…it is typical to see 300 to 400,000 miles on them and they keep ticking. Reality is for us though that we have not ran a trail in over 6-years. It is silly for us to keep the truck at this point. It just sits and goes to McDonalds every now and then!So we bought it new in 2001 for over $61,000 and we began running trails learning the truck. Then one-by-one as mod’s became available, we added them on increasing the Cruiser’s capabilities. We also worked one-on-one with some makers to create mods to further the 100-Series durability. It was a long road to complete this baby but in the end we had over $76,000 invested…and was it worth it. Along this way I also bought and modified two older series (80) Cruisers. They came and went years ago. I did not like them overall…the 2001 was my baby all the way.So, here is what’s on Roklimo:*ARB Sahara Bar with integrated running lamps lamps and turn signals*ARB 8” 130-watt round off-road lights*Warn 8000 winch with wired remote control*Old Man Emu and Sway-A-Way 1.5” suspension lift though we had it at 2” using T-bar adjustment and rear trim-packs*Midland One-Hander CB radio*Slee Off-Road rock sliders*Safari snorkel…and it has been used!*Then my friend and “missile scientist” Doron Strassman, a fellow 100-series owner, designed the industry’s first differential drop. This lowered the front diff which then in turn allowed near-perfect CV angles at ~2” lift. It also allowed us to lift to about 2.75” and install 35-inch (315) tires which we did instantly.*Custom rear control arm skid plates protect the lowest bendable part from rocks*ARB Air Lockers installed…and what an addition!*Slee Off-Road rear bumper with tire carrier and Hi-Lift jack…along with new 80-series OME 863 rear shocks that are perfect for this load and lift height.*Then in search for a better shock option I worked with Slee Off-Road to fit a longer 80-series rear shocks to the 100. With 2”+ more down-travel it kept wheels on the ground FAR better. Pictures show it for certain! I could never go back to a standard shock!*Then finally, a curved rear control option came out from Wild West Off Road. These babies keep the control arms from getting caught and bent on rocks and ledges which can stop you in your tracks. More clearance is yet another plus! I got their first set they ever made!*And recently we added a color-matched steering wheel cover. Wished we have added this YEARS ago. The wider diameter grip would have been awesome on the trails! Now, here is the current configuration of the For Sale Roklimo:*Not driving trails any longer when we needed tires, we opted to reduce back down to 33” (285) tires…BFG AT KO2. They are like new…a few thousand miles and have never run trails.*We lowered the front end by 1” because the 35” tires were gone.*No other changes were made, and this thing is ready for the trail! That said…you want to run them hard…slap back on 315’s and raise the front that inch and you’re done! Easy! Takes minutes!*New Pioneer stereo head unit with XM, Bluetooth, a remote control, etc. Stock JBL amps and speakers are fine including subwoofer. Now to the condition:Negatives first because there are almost none.*Front seats could use seat covers…mainly passenger side, but both really.*High mileage? Well…ahhh…yes, but for a Land Cruiser? Not really. In fact, look at the positives, things I just had done to let this go ready for the road and/or trail.*ARB locking diffs work. Lock and unlock. I just had the locker relay replaced.Positives:*Extremely capable on and off-road use vehicle*Well maintained over the years. Let’s look at some recent work completed. In the last couple of years, we’ve completed the following work…new timing belt, new spark plugs, new serpentine belt, coolant hoses, water pump, fan clutch, all idler bearings, etc. Back in 8/2017 we put on new Sway-A-Way torsion bars. 7/2019 we had to replace the fan bearing and bracket for $900. At this visit to Hatch Toyota per my request they looked the vehicle over and made these recommendations: 1. Rear axle seal leaking…fix and replace brake pads…$560. Replace front shocks…$1119. Front wheel bearing repack/lube…$225. So, on 8/2019 we replaced the front shocks with the latest version OME Sport Shock. 12/2020 we fixed the rear axle seals, swapped in new rear pads, put in new e-brake pads, and turned the rotors (more than Hatch Toyota recommended). Then they swapped in a new power steering reservoir (leaky) and new $250 power steering hose. A complete AC service was done…recharge and with dye…no leaks found…so it is ready for Arizona summers. $1700 well spent! March 2020, we put in a new radiator and pressure tested the cooling system. 12/2020…Repacked the front wheel bearings and swapped in a new CV boot. Last…6/2021…put in a new thermostat, coolant flush, and head gasket test (perfect!). Bottom line…this thing is ready to roll! And I have run Mobil 1 synthetics in the engine and diffs for life! Accidents? If you want to call it that…it might show on a CarFax. I was stopped at a light…and Ford Ranger hit my backside…maybe at 10 MPH. He hit my rear shackle and thus the Cruiser was fine. His Ranger was crunched.Trail damage? Normal paint scrapes and such exist…but overall, this thing still looks good and has never got a dent or been mangled off-road! There is one small ding however caused by a hit-and-run at McDonalds! My guess is a pool guy’s pole sticking out the bed of a truck. Driver’s side rear panel below window…very small…no paint scrapes…I’d a liked to have caught the person! But no biggie at all. You would have to “look for it” to find it. Keep in mind this was my pride-and-joy and we protected it whenever possible on those hard trails.Sold as-is…no warranty. Come look it over! Garaged for 18-years! NO RUST! ARIZONA HOME! I do have new front brake pads, a spare belt, 3x front CV axles as spares though I have never needed one (they need boots because we’ve not wheeled in years and don’t keep one in the truck as spares any longer) and a few oil filters, and a new starter that’ll be in the truck upon sale. And might as well include all my maps and numerous trail books from the southwest states. Images Download the Motors app
