1999 silver Mazda Miata
This car was built as a street based replica of the 949 Racing NB rental (www.Supermiata.com). I"ve been daily driving this car for two years, and it"s just about perfect. The suspension isn"t slammed, so it can survive in the city. It won"t overheat on the racetrack; it has AC. so you won"t either. Now I need space for a car seat, so it"s time for this NB to find a new home. This car was built to accommodate the Trackspeed Engineering (www.trackspeedengineering.com) EFR turbo kit to bring the power up to Supermiata S1 class specs - a reliable 225 RWHP that can handle wheel-to-wheel racing, track days, autocross and still be daily driven. The EFR has plenty of headroom to go past 300 RWHP if you want. he chassis was built to handle the track, and the engine has all of the supporting mods necessary for FI. For example, the 949 racing/Supermiata clutch is new and is designed to handle 290 ft/lbs of torque, but still be driveable on the street. The coolant reroute and aluminum radiator keep temps down and preserve all of the power the engine makes, even on the track. The car is naturally aspirated at the moment-all you need for 225+ HP is to add is the turbo/supercharger, intercooler, exhaust and engine management of your choice. (I can provide a list of parts you"ll need for either the Trackspeed or the MKTurbo setup) It has the other parts needed to make daily use work as well, factory hardtop, Robbins soft top, torsen, stereo, HIDs, etc. Clear title, no liens. Note on mileage: odometer has 198,000mi, Engine has between 40-60,000 before refresh. See below for details, please contact me with any further questions or concerns. The price is mostly firm, but there are two changes that can be made:
-The Xida GS shocks can be replaced with the (included) Bilsteins, lowering the price by $1,000
-The Konig wheels can be removed from the deal, lowering the price by $1,000. Buyer will need to supply wheels, or at least one (1) 15 inch rim with a 205/50 tire to run the 6ULs. I"d recommend this option if you have your own wheels, have a specific autocross class requirement or are a stance enthusiast.
Engine:
- JDM BP5A engine, (estimate 51,000 miles +/- 3,500) installed with new Gates timing belt, tensioners, cast impeller water pump, harmonic damper, belts, all seals, plugs and valve cover gasket. Lash set. Has the longer duration BP5A cam. I have less than 2,000 miles on this setup since installation.
-949 racing /Supermiata hybrid motor mounts (one steel/urethane race type mount and one Mazda Comp motor mount.
-Magnecor plug wires
-Oil pan has a capped -10AN fitting for the turbo oil drain.
-NB+ alternator (80amp) to keep everything powered up.
Cooling
-949 racing /Supermiata cross flow radiator
-949 racing /Supermiata QMAX coolant reroute. Enough cooling for WTW racing with a turbo-this is the spec cooling setup for the Supermiata racing series.
-Flyin Miata turbo ready silicone lower radiator line
Driveline
-6 speed transmission - all seals and shifter bushings replaced.
-949 racing/Supermiata street clutch, sprung organic disc. Good for more than 300 RWHP.
-949 racing /Supermiata lightweight steel flywheel - saves ten pounds over stock, but still streetable.
-OE Mazda Torsen Diff, spare open diff included

-949 Racing /Supermiata Xida GS shocks - the best suspension available for the NB, adjustable damping, 550/350 springs.

-The stock interior was completely removed and replaced with the black leather/red stitching interior from a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata. Every piece of plastic, trim and upholstery. The driver"s side seat has a split along one of the seams, but it can be patched.

-LED replacement lights everywhere.
Wheels
-Bronze Konig Hypergram 15x8 +25 with new 205 Maxxis VR-1. No fender roll needed, barely. Really fills the fenders. +1g grip levels. A hoot to drive.
-3X 949 Racing 6UL 7.5x15 +36 silver. Ugly, but still the best NB wheel available.
Systems
-Clarion CX-609 bluetooth/SiriusXM/CD head unit professionally installed with amp and speakers. Hands free phone and connects to an iphone. Serious looking amp professionally installed in the trunk.
-OE cruise control
-BIXENON headlights.
-AC. Cold air. recent recharge.
-PS, delrin steering rack bushings included, but not installed.
