10k Mile 1999 Porsche Boxster call or text us at T his newly appreciating first generation 1999 Porsche Boxster resided with it"s original owner until 2019. This example is equipped with a 2.5-liter flat-six mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Factory options include 17” 996 wheels, sports chassis (lowers ride height by 10mm) and traction control. Now showing just under 10k original miles, this early 986 includes it"s factory owners manual, original window sticker, original purchase invoice, a clean Carfax report, and a clear California title.
The exterior is finished in it"s very rare Pastel Yellow (L12M) with the original black convertible soft top. The paint measures as original with very few minor blemishes. The finish can be viewed in greater detail in the photo gallery below, along with paint meter readings. The interior is trimmed in Granite Grey (Q1) partial leather seats with matching dash, carpet, door panels and Porsche branded floor mats. Interior amenities include power windows, an alarm system, cruise control and excellent functioning air conditioning. A factory Becker stereo is retained and the original 4-spoke steering wheel is installed. The speedometer, tachometer and combination gauges are installed and each is in working order. The odometer presently indicates 9,947 miles. CarFax lists no accidents and documents the mileage back to August of 1998, when 29 miles was showing on the odometer. All lights and other electrical components are functioning correctly. The original 2.5L flat-six, factory rated at 201 HP, sends power to the rear wheels through the original 5-speed manual transmission. It’s worth noting that the 1997 through 1999 engines had a tough dual-row IMS bearing with less than a 1% failure rate. Oil and filter change was completed at 9,836 miles in August 2019. The old filter was disassembled and closely inspected. No metallic particles were found on any portion of the filter. An oil sample was recently analyzed by Blackstone with excellent results. A documented dealer service was also completed at 6,222 miles including oil and filter change, brake fluid flush and drain and fill coolant.
A clear California title, original owner"s manual, original window sticker and purchase invoice, dealer directory and extra file of service records are included. The Carfax report lists no issues and shows two owners in California.
