Vehicle description
"Please read the whole description. This baby needs a little TLC but not much. She drives well still and reliably. She just needs some love to run completely correctly. She is much more than your standard run of the mill "project car". Thank you for your consideration!"
1994 PONTIAC FIREBIRD FORMULA - 4th Gen F-Body
Lt1 V8 Engine (2 bolt main) / 4L60E Automatic Transmission (W/Transmission Perform center console button) / Dual Flowmaster Exhaust / 6 speaker and 4 tweeter surround stereo
EXTRAS -
Stainless tube headers (retains smog pump functionality) / Marine billet aluminum Throttle Body (cancels the butterfly valve defrost coolant line that is redundant/detrimental to intake temp in hotter environments) / Aluminum inlet tube + K&N cold air intake / MSD Ignition Control Box / MSD Ignition Coil / Konig 5 spoke wheels / Nitto NT555 tires / Strut Tower Brace / Boss 455BRGB Bluetooth Stereo Head Unit MAINTENANCE NEEDS -
An Opti-spark Distributor is required to get rid of the hesitation between 1 and 2k rpm on acceleration. It"s had this problem before twice while owning it for 7 years. They are just notorious for building moisture and corroding the optical wheel. If you can afford it I strongly suggest upgrading it to the updated vented MSD one. Although aftermarkets are finally making new units now instead of rebuilding the old ones. An A/C Compressor is required to bring back air conditioning. A few months ago I replaced the leaking soft line assembly but after charging, it worked well, but put too much strain on the engine.
Luckily, if you have a shop do this work you should be able to save on labor as they will both require work in the same location of the car (The accessory plate). And, if you"re doing the work yourself, the same goes for that situation. STATE/AGE OF UPKEEP (Oldest to Newest) -
Tires - DOT mid 2015 but they have a quarter inch or more of tread left with minimal cracking and no signs of separation Transmission - Replaced with rebuilt unit provided by local rebuilder "Transpac". Can provide paperwork and receipt. Mid 2017 (approx. 4000 miles ago) Water Pump & Radiator - Maintains operating temperature even in 110 degree F outside temp/No leaks. about 2 years old
Fuel Pump - Delphi replacement and new hanger assembly are about 2 years old Fuel Injectors - Original Rochester Rebuilt units (Still have the original set as well) about 1 year old Catalytic Converter - Aftermarket bolted with clamps. Still needs to be welded if you want to keep it or if you want to register it as smog exempt I have a joint pipe (There"s a small leak from this installation method) about 1 year old.
I hope I"ve provided enough information to get the bids started. If someone gets it for the starting bid it"s a complete steal for this piece of automobile history. Please contact me if you have any other questions or concerns. Let the bidding begin! Thank you!
