Vehicle description
1989 Jeep Wrangler / Yj ISLANDER.
Great Project Jeep with a good frame! it runs and drives great in town and in the mud but because of the 5.11 gears and fully hydraulic steering as well as the 3 speed transmission it is really hard to use on the highway so it will need to be trailered home. it has an oil pressure gauge but outside of that none of the gauges are hooked up at all. It is a 350 V8 with a locked automatic 3 speed transmission. meaning it needs to be shifted manually but it is an automatic. the hydraulic steering is run off the engines power steering pump. it has: -35" Tires - bluetooth radio with working speakers - safety roll bar - safety harness seats with quick release handles - 4 barrel carb - wrapped headers with shorty 12" mufflers - i do have the original steering gear box to return the jeep to standard steering it will be provided for free - the engine is a 350 V8 from a 1974 chevy pickup. I do not know much more than that as i bought it this way - just so i am perfectly clear! it will need to be trailered home out of town! the hydraulic steering and 5.11 gears make it impossible to drive long distances on the highway. the RPMS just run way too high. this can be done by converting back to original drive axles. i have them but they are NOT provided in the sale price.
