| “We purchased this Buick Skylark Convertible over 30 plus years ago from the original family owners as a driver and fix up project for my son. We drove the Buick on several occasions for a couple of years, however my son went off to school and the Buick was put in garage storage for nearly 28 years. It was started periodically. Recently we got it out of the garage, started it, washed it and drove it around. The engine sounds and runs good, the transmission shifts correct. Good tune up and adjustments good idea. The power top works and is in pretty good shape. The body panels look Pretty good. The interior rot bad, a little TLC, drivers seat has a tear. Some metal repair needed in the trunk and floor support brace under driver side. See pictures. Chassis and underside shows expected surface rust. This a whole car and with a little attention still make a good summer driver or a winter restoration project.” |
