BMW 5-Series . Condition is Used. Sold as is.
This car spent its whole life in WY and there is little rust (see photos). The body is straight, paint has fading, no signs of an accident, and all doors close with a solid thunk. Leather seats need work and passenger seat has a crack (see photos). Dash has some cracks, carpeting ok, lights, flashers, lighter, clock, wipers, and all power windows work but the passenger front. Sunroof motor engages, but does not open. Radio and air-conditioner do not work. The windshield is cracked, and all other glass is ok. Tires are weather checked, and there are 2 spares mounted on correct alloy wheels. Original tool kit is complete!
It was last driven on a round trip from Cody WY to SLC UT in 2008 by original owner and has been parked ever since. I took possession in 2019, and have a clear WY title in my name.
The engine starts and runs smoothly when gas is sprayed into the intake, and will continue running as long as fuel is supplied. The fuel tank was pulled and cleaned, and both fuel pumps work. I believe the next step would be to clean the injectors as it doesn"t run on its own.
I believe this car is an excellent candidate for restoration. I have too many other projects and do not have any more time to put into it.
