Vehicle description
This is a 1966 Bel Air which a previous owner took great pains to duplicate a 1966 Bel Air Maine State Police cruiser. The 396 with Holley 4 bbl carb, 3-speed column-mounted transmission, radio delete, rubber floor covering and manual brakes were exactly how they were equipped. The correct blue paint and blue interior are also offered. During my ownership, I added front disc brakes (still manual) and under dash air conditioning. I also had a new clutch and throw out bearing installed, along with front end suspension components, new door weather stripping and a new battery.
The car is in very nice condition, with very nice paint, chrome, glass, trim, and interior. The engine starts every time, runs well, and the transmission shifts properly. It is a very tight and solid car, and is probably one of the best driving classic cars that I have. It really is fun to drive. The speedometer shows 49,740 miles, but I do not know if that is actual mileage.
