Bought this car as a project car in unfinished condition. Drove it the first summer in that condition and then put in my garage. Hasn"t seen the light of day until last summer, registered it again, put fresh gas in it and drove it a round town for a few days. This car could be a daily driver with a little TLC. I would look at it and hope that the purchaser would also look at it as a project and finish/restore it to its full potential as I had hoped to. The car needs, a new windshield (was cracked when I purchased it), there is a chip on the side of the hood(seen in photos), there are some extra holes drilled in the front fiberglass bumper, after sitting as long as it did is seems to have developed an oil leek (valve cover or pushrod seal), the wiring neatened up and as much fit and finish as you want to put into the interior. The engine is not a 1987, this is the year the kit was put together. I believe the car is on early model VW Beetle frame. I have a convertible top for the car that came with it but have never seen it on the car, that will go with the sale. Also some misc. engine parts, catalogs and paperwork from original owner.
