Vehicle description
Vehicle Details Car is reliable, not everything is pretty, but has never let me down.Where to begin….Original Cooper S shipped in to Compton California in 1966. Clean title, currently registered, and fully functional for daily driving. JDM 97 spec B18C with 330 injectors and tuned. Estimated HP is 225Yes. All Wheel DriveAir conditioning. Has cruise control but currently disabled. Keyless entry with remote power door locks. AlarmWilwood brakesFull 6 point cage with door bars. Custom fuel tankPush button startParrot Bluetooth radioRemote located radiatorPpg water borne paint. Still looks new. Always garage kept. Sliding sun roof. I bought this car about 12 years ago as a rolling chassis. No motor and no transmission. Had all original glass and had body work done that had sat unfinished for too long so I stripped it to bare metal and refinished everything on a rotisserie. Has a minitech front subframe and a Miata rear subframe that was cut and narrowed by 9 inches. All work except for painting I have done my self. Roll cage included. Transmission is from a Honda CRV and I machined a 5th gear from an accord to give it an over drive for highway driving. These are just the basics for now and I will be adding more as I go. The rear axles interfere with the exhaust a bit so the exhaust portion over the axle might need to be reworked. Has a remote water pump that is in a separate thermostat. PLX o2 sensor that gives a readout over Bluetooth. Car was built for daily driving with occasional road coarse track driving, not drag racing. It’s been to Laguna Seca one time. The car was still pulling at 110mph in the finish straight. That was before AWD and I had to come out of turn 11 very gingerly. With the AWD, 120mph wouldn’t be out of the question. I pulled away from a standard 911 Porsche on the straight. Unfortunately and this was devastating, the car was involved in a fender bender in the first 20 minutes I had it out on the road. Long story short, the car remote started from my pocket and the motor is so powerful it over rode the e-brake and hit the car in front of it. Most damage was repaired but there is some residual damage as seen in the pictures. I have the original black plates for the car that match the original dmv pink slip. They are beat up but they can be restored. I’m showing this car as is with nothing reworked. I just want to be upfront about everything and not hide anything. If you bid, win, show up, and there is something extremely different from what I have shown then I will not hold you to the final payment but you will lose the deposit. If you buy it sight unseen I will hold you to the contractual agreement of the auction. If you are international then you must arrange for the car to be picked up and pay for all associated costa. This is a used and custom car and I require you to come see it in person before you bid, if you choose not to see it first, you will be held to the auction contract. Images Download the Motors app
