Currently there is at least a 10mo wait on model S long range, here you can get one today. Price starts just $2000 more that the what it would cost to order car from Tesla today.
I had experience with Plaid and the Long range in my opinion long range is better car and better value than the plaid. Acceleration and power is still unbelievable I would say the Long Range feels as quick as the older Model S P90D with ludicrous mode. Additionally, this car has adequate brakes for the power unlike the Plaid and has an extra 50mi of range. The Plaid and the Long Range look identical, besides the badge and a $30k + price increase.
