Mitsubishi 4G63 turbo powered open wheel car. Designed and built to be street legal. 100% custom. Not a kit. Started from scratch and based on nothing.
There is a lot to say about this car which I probably won"t be able to write here. I have been working on this car for 4 years now. I have tried to get the best parts and fabricate anything to the best of my knowledge and ability(which includes using other people that have more experience and skill). Almost all parts are new that are not fabricated. Needless to say, I have spent countless hours, a lot of money, and my OCD brain is burning out.
Even though I am so close to driving this car. .I may be over it.
The only actual part keeping me from driving it, is the wire harness which is currently being made as we speak. A $6000 Mil-Spec harness by the way. It had to be right.
The engine is a brand new Mitsubishi 4g63 shortblock. Not rebuilt, New. The head is refreshed with new intake/exh valves and Kelford cams EVO MAS but will be wired to be able to swap to speed density 3.5" intake FP HTA68 turbo 2.5" intercooler piping modified ETS evo X intercooler 70mm throttle body FP exhaust manifold 3" stainless exhaust to flexpipe, then 3" aluminum exhaust with muffler.
FIC 1400cc injectors Walbro 255 fuel pump AEM methanol injection fuel pressure regulator
custom CR dual pass radiator BM external oil cooler
Transmission is a rebuilt factory FWD 91 DSM transmission Wavetrac Limited Slip Diff ACT 2600 clutch ACT flywheel Evo 8 shifter assembly with custom cables
91-94 ECU with DSMLINK V3 Full All Speedhut gauges including an o2 wideband designed for AEM wideband
Rear BC fully adjustable coilovers Front Qa1 adjustable shocks with eibach springs
The front end is a Heidts open wheel kit
11" front rotors, 10" rear, 4 piston wilwoods all around
Wilwood pedals(adjustable to 3 foot positions, brake masters, clutch master, lines etc.
17" Work Wheels 245/45/17 and 265/40/17
custom fuel cell, SS meth tank, battery box with Optima Red Top.
4 LED headlights, 4 front turn signals (evo X), and LED Lotus Elise Taillights lic plate light, horn
Corbeau reclining seats with 5 pt harnesses
Mil Spec wire harness currently being built Flaming River battery cut off switch with key.
3/16" custom Lexan 3 piece windshield
100 custom body/windshield clamps by JM Fabrication. 100 so far anyway. . I used clamps so not to rivet through frame.
Carbon fiber dash with switches/warning lights(coming with wire harness)
A lot of regular factory mitsubishi components are New.
The frame is a Chromoly 1.5" .120 wall tubing tig welded by a 35 year race/show car builder.
As of now, It rolls, it steers, it brakes, the clutch and gas pedal function. Minus the future wire harness, it needs nothing to run. with Meth injection and a good bit of boost, it will be in the 430-450hp area. It is a pretty basic and reliable DSM set up that I have ran many times in the passed.
It will of course need all the bugs worked out to get it perfectly running as it is modified and has never ran yet.
I am probably forgetting a lot. Ask any questions, but don"t ask what I am looking for $ wise, because I don"t really know how to answer. All of it?
To confirm, A winning bid will also get the yet to come $6000 Mil-Spec wire harness.
Besides all of the above, it will need some body parts of course. It is made to be street legal. I live in Georgia, so my street legal rules may be different than yours.
