The car needs be paid for with cash and picked up within 5 business days of the auctions end. To further clarify. The auction ends on Sunday July 12th, the car needs to be picked up and paid for at my bank before 6 PM on Friday July 17th. If the car is not picked up by Friday July 17th you forfeit your deposit and I will re-list the car. I am unable and unwilling to do any airport pickups, please do not bid if you live far away. Logistically this just becomes to complex.

Up for sale is my meticulously maintained 2016 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4TSI with automatic transmission. I recently had a family member pass away and have inherited a semi-large collection of vehicles and need to sell some of my current vehicles to make space in our garage. That in combination with the fact that my VW has sustained some hail damage and I don"t feel like messing around with an insurance claim has led me to sell the car.
The car runs and drives great, this has been my daily driven commuter car. The car has never been smoked in and comes from a pet free home. The majority of the miles were racked up from my long daily commute. I wanted something that was reliable, comfortable and fuel economic. This car has served me and I am confident that it will provide its next owner with years of reliable transportation. Everything on the car has been done, brakes, tires, timing belt, ignition coils, plugs, coolant etc. At around 80,000 miles the car started to shift erratically so I had the transmission valve body replaced as well as transmission fluid/filters ($2,000 job).
There was a large hail storm about a month ago in Illinois. The car has sustained hail damage to the hood, roof and trunk as well as other minor other areas. I did my best to capture the damage in the pictures and video links at the bottom of the description. I have another car that has taken over 2 months to have hail damage repaired through insurance and I have decided to forgo the hassle and sell the car for a loss. You can buy replacement used hoods and trunk off of ebay or at a local junk yard fairly cheap. Jetta parts are very common.
The car comes with all standard features that you would except from a modern VW. Power door locks, ice cold AC, Cruise, hot heat, heated mirrors, auto on headlights, temperature sensor and fog lights. I had the VW dealer install a Homelink mirror. There isn"t much on the car that hasn"t been replaced or repaired. I never intended on selling.
The following add on parts or repairs have been done.
Aftermarket parts installed: -Pioneer AVIC 8200 NEX GPS/DVD touchscreen -Hertz HCX 165 6.5 Speakers in front and the rear, door tweeters as well as additional sound insulation was installed -AEM short ram cold air intake -Forge motorsports Blow off blue dump tube -Custom LED headlights and fog lights -Weathertech hood protector/deflector -Weathertech front and rear floor mats -Weathertech door visor protectors -Weathertech trunk mat -OEM VW Jetta rear removable sunscreens -OEM VW GLI grill -OEM VW homelink auto dimming, compass, garage door opener mirror -ECS lower engine aluminum skid plate -Redline auto lift hood prop
List of recent maintenance: -Tires within last 15,000 miles -Brake pads & rotors last 10,000 miles-Shocks/struts were done at 70,000 miles -OEM VW ignition coils done at 80,000 -OEM spark plugs done at 80,000 -OEM re-engineered transmission Valve body, fluids and gaskets at 80,000 -Timing belt and radiator flush at 70,000 miles -All new headlight, interior and exterior bulbs
I have the stock oem grill as well as headlights and the stock cold air intake. The first aid kit, jumper cables and other accessories pictured in the trunk are not included. Just the spare tire and jack will come with the car. There are probably other things that have been done or replaced on the car that I am forgetting. The car comes with all of the factory manuals, clean and clear title in my name and two sets of keys. Everything on the car works, it has been garage kept and I wouldn"t hesitate to take this anywhere that you want to go. I have maintained the car with the goal of it going 200,000+ miles for me. Unfortunately with the hail damage and my recent inheritance of a fleet I"ve decided its time to part ways.

AS-IS WHERE-IS: My Jetta is sold on an AS-IS WHERE-IS basis. Having a third party inspection and addressing any concerns is recommended prior to purchase. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to verify all options, accessories, and vehicle condition before time of sale. If purchaser chooses to waive inspection, the AS-IS WHERE-IS is still enforced. Any concerns will not be addressed post sale. This is a great car, but I am selling it with no warranties neither expressed or implied as is and where is.
I am an honest seller, this is a great car. Perfect 1st car, commuter car or family car as it is huge for a compact vehicle. If you have any questions please don"t hesitate to ask. I have the car for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. Also if people come to test drive the car mileage will go up. I have the car washed and waxed in my garage and ready for its new owner.
