Vehicle description
This f-type has been with me since new on August of 2016. At 3,000 miles the car got an upgraded clutch, pressure plate and fly wheel courtesy of Jaguar. Early model clutches had poor feel and were prone to slippage. The upgraded clutch is flawless, consistent and delivers torque in a very positive fashion as only a manual transmission can.
One option not available from Jaguar on the 6 speed manual cars are the fabulous Jaguar Carbon Ceramic brakes. Through assistance of my local dealer and an overseas source, I made the conversion to this absolutely epic brake configuration. Contrary to many opinions of carbon ceramic brakes, mine are silent and the stopping response and power is beyond description.
With the brake conversion, I added additional factory brake cooling ducts and large rotor dust shields. The rotors on this car weigh a mere 15lbs each. Accents have been added like carbon fiber hood vents, side vents and mirror caps. All these products are factory accessories. The rear carbon fiber spoiler is a one off product fabricated for me by Advanced Composite Products in Harrisburg, PA. ACP makes it market fabricating bodies for most Trans-AM cars in the United States. The spoiler if fully functional and first rate craft work. It is a fully moulded part, not a wrap. The factory paint matched spoiler can come with the car.
This is a vehicle garaged daily and driven by a senior driver. I can offer no flaws in the vehicle. It has remained accident free, no scratches except a mark or two on the rear wheel which I will have mended. The wheels are oem gunmetal silver shod with Michelin Pilot 4 S tires. The car is set up to enjoy and it does that very thing.
