Vehicle description
This is a 1 owner 2016 GMC Canyon SLT Extended Cab 4x4 Pickup with a Clear Title. We have title in hand along with the lien release. This truck sits inside a garage for the winter months. So it"s never been in salt. You can skip the next paragraph if you want the short story.
So a friend of mine calls me and tells me his 78 year dad who runs a marina got rear ended(in the marina). Someone just hit the hitch and did some lite damage. So they drove it to the Chevy dealer(one of the biggest in the state). They wrote it for $1800 in damage. They started fixing it, they replaced the tailgate and tail light. they also painted the gate and right bed side. Color match and quality is excellent. While the bed was off they saw some very minor frame issues.(i tried showing in the pics) Now they wanted to put a frame under it. His dad didn"t like the thought of them swapping everything over. So I told him I would look at it. I had to laugh when I saw the damage. I understand the liability and making sure it"s perfect but this is nothing for frame damage. So they put the bed back on and I bought it. He had another incident before, Same thing. only no frame damage I guess. So I drove this to our Detroit warehouse. We washed it and took pic"s. Over that weekend some Detroit * * * (I wish i could swear on here) broke in to our shop. Beside busting through our door with the forklift and stealing this truck and another car they shot my 2 dogs(they"re still alive and recovering). So they added the front damage to the vehicle along with taking the HMI module and radio module. We put an HMI module to get it to run again. Looking for a radio module now. They only went 2 miles with the vehicle. they also put a small tear in the rear bottom seat. We only have one set of keys for it now.
Damage, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, straighten rear ends of the frame, needs a rear chrome bumper bar(all pads and wiring are there), Hitch receiver. The back bottom rear seat has a small tear in it. The front cover needs to be painted, the pass fender has a very small ding/dent where it meets the front bumper. The left fender does as well but it broke the paint. The left head light is scratched up(May be able to clean some of it up). Hood has a small stone ding in it by the scratched headlight. You can drive this anywhere as is. But, by most laws you need a rear bumper. GOOD: The Michelin tires are 2000 miles old. Paid almost $1000 for them. Low Mileage. Very nice truck. Trying to find the radio module for it now and will include if I find one. The check engine light is on due to having a different HMI module in it. Will see if programming fixes it.
