The 2016 Ferrari California T is powered by a 3.9-litre bi-turbo V8 with 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) times coming in at 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph). The turbo version of the California (the "T" stands for turbo) addresses those who dared call the California underpowered. The California T is a grand tourer with a retractable hardtop (RHT) which handles life"s ups and downs with a touch of a button to change from coupe to convertible in a mere 14 seconds. The California T is a grand tour motor car that is comfortable going topless on drives along the Pacific coast, winding mountainous roads, or growling through traffic on a daily commute. The California T is the first Ferrari to fully embrace technology, including Apple CarPlay, XM Satellite Radio and Bluetooth which is now built into the infotainment system. Ferrari spent over 1,000 hours in the wind tunnel with a one-third-scale model perfecting aerodynamics when designing the California. With the top up, the California has a drag coefficient of Cd=0.32, which was at the time the most aerodynamic Ferrari ever made! Aerodynamics reduce wind noise, drag, and the undesirable lift forces while producing downforce to improve traction and tight cornering abilities.
