2016 FERRARI 488 GTB 2016 Ferrari 488GTB Chassis# 214999 Exterior: Blu Tour De France / Factory Black Roof Interior: Nero Carpets: Nero Ferrari"s answer to the new fuel regulations was to produce the most insane 3.9 litre twin turbo since the F40 caught the sportscar world off guard. As Enzo"s last sanctioned car before his passing, the F40 was and still is looked up to by many as the penultimate twin turbo engine. Today, Enzo would be proud of the re-introduction of the turbo to his thoroughbreds. The Ferrari 488GTB has rekindled the excitement for turbo engines after countless manufacturers have given it their best and come up short. The magic if Ferrari"s world renowned 3.9 V8 is in the feel and sound. Instead of acting like an On/Off switch as in most turbo-powered sports cars, the 488GTB acts with the ferocity of a turbo but comes on smooth like a naturally aspirated V8. For the second year running, the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 that powers the 488 GTB, 488 Spider and, in a slightly smaller displacement, the California T and GTC4Lusso T, has taken the outright International Engine of the Year Award along with the Performance Engine class and the 3-litre to 4-litre displacement category. When this 488GTB was configured in our Atelier, the options were chosen for their practicality and to celebrate Maranello"s latest creation. Carbon fiber abounds with rear air ducts and the F-1 inspired fog lamp, The profile is unmistakable with the large air intakes accentuated by the carbon fiber splitter. The smallest details were not overlooked with forged Black factory painted rims and yellow brake calipers hiding behind. Ferrari"s Suspension Lift was also fitted with the mandatory AFS lights that also turn into tight corners to illuminate the future. Of course, the "Scuderia" Ferrari shields are a must and were not overlooked! The interior was also adorned with complement of carbon fiber including, and full driver"s zone which includes Ferrari"s famous carbon fiber steering wheel with LEDs, F-1 paddles, and tachometer surround. Turning to cabin comfort, Daytona style seats were added with Yellow stitching for the Cavallino on the headrest and the remainder of the cockpit. Full Electric Seats round out the interior including lumbar support and heating for both driver and copilot upgraded JBL speaker system, Front and Back Sensors and Backup Camera
