| “Excellent mechanical and physical condition due to obsessive mechanical and physical maintenance. Always garaged at home and work. No dents, dings or scrapes. All original paint polished using Menzerna products and ceramic coated with Armor Shield IX (front of car treated to two coats plus Carnuba wax). Optional polished aluminum wheels have zero rash and are in excellent condition. Front chin spoiler, hood heat extractor vents, rear diffuser and spoiler professionally wrapped in carbon fiber-like material. Recaro seats are in near-perfect condition.Carpets are free of stains. Full set of factory AND WeatherTech mats. CUE screen and center console in excellent condition. Door panels like new. Meet my beloved 2016 Cadillac ATS V sedan. I"m the second owner, having bought it from the original owner, who I know, at 30,457 miles on 7/6/2018. I sold my 2014 Cadillac CTS V Sport to buy this. Both the original owner and I are enthusiasts who took great care of the car in every aspect.
Finding one of these for sale by a private owner - let alone a picky, enthusiast owner - is a rare occurrence. Add in the extensive maintenance history and warranty and you"ll find that this is exceedingly rare.
Overall Condition
Above average (very conservatively speaking) Usage: Daily driver (not a weekend back-road or track car (not that there’s anything wrong with that!)) What it needs: It’s ready to roll and currently needs nothing that I’m aware of. Maintenance: All routine maintenance has been completed, which I have receipts for. Beyond maintenance: It has always been taken to a trusted dealership for diagnosis/repairs. See maintenance history below for details. Examples include replacement of CUE screen, Head Up Display (HUD), both turbochargers (found leaky turbo shaft seals), common squeaky sunroof has been addressed, transmission has been regularly evaluated for various service bulletins and is well-sorted, and more. Exterior: All original Phantom Gray Metallic paint; free of dents, dings and scrapes; optional polished, aluminum forged wheels with zero curb rash; front chin spoiler, hood vents, rear spoiler and diffuser are covered in carbon-fiber-like wrap, which can be easily removed; paint and plastics sealed with ceramic coating Interior: Almost no wear whatsoever on the optional Recaro leather seats; carpets are free of stains and wear; WeatherTech mats all around; original mats included; everything functions properly Ownership: I’m the second owner. I know the original owner, who used the car as a daily driver in Seattle. I purchased it in the summer of 2018 to replace my daily-driver 2014 Cadillac CTS V-Sport. Reasons for sale: My kids are getting bigger, so my needs have changed. Additionally, my daily commute very rarely affords the opportunity for a car like this to truly stretch its legs. Therefore, I sometimes feel I"m wasting one of the most dynamic, capable modern sedans. Warranties: This car carries the balance of the bumper-to-bumper, 4-year, 50,000 mile comprehensive warranty as well as the 6-year, 70,000 mile powertrain warranty. Additionally, it has an extra 2 years (total of 6) of comprehensive coverage for up to 100,000 miles. Quirky owner pickiness: The car had a special spot in my climate-controlled garage away from anyone/anything that might touch it. At work, it was parked in an underground garage in a spot that would reduce/eliminate the possibility for dings/scratches. Car was always allowed to warm up ( at least 30 seconds before moseying my way out of the neighborhood or parking garage. Never did I drive it aggressively until the engine and trans were up to operating temperatures. I always kept an extra large microfiber towel over the driver"s seat to protect the leather, and employed an awkward yet effective exit technique to minimize wear. Non-stock Items: In addition to the aforementioned wrap, the car has aftermarket tint on the front and rear doors, windshield brow and rear window. I replaced the license plate light bulbs and reverse bulbs with high quality LED units to modernize the appearance and assist with visibility when backing up. The engine is dead stock and the 8L90E has finally had the bugs worked out of it. Why the ATS V is special: I"m assuming that if you"re reading this ad, you know why the ATS V is special - and is even more special now that Cadillac has stopped production and is focusing more on SUVs and electric vehicles. However, I"ll never turn down an opportunity to discuss the overbuilt LF4 engine, Alpha chassis, MR dampers, ZF steering rack, Brembo brakes, etc., which, collectively, make this car so, so rewarding to drive. Price: This auction has a reserve; but, I"m not delirious.
