Vehicle description

2016 BMW 3-Series. It"s a very nice black-on-black BMW 320I X with Navigation. I am a car guy and own a detailing company, my car is in tip-top shape. This car looks excellent and runs like it"s brand new. I have had the car over 2 years and drive it during the weekends and it"s always garage kept. The car has some accident history on it in 2018 that shows a total loss. I purchased it knowing this because I"m the 2nd owner and it see it was repaired correctly, inspected and issued a clean title, before I purchased it. As an estimator and a vehicle inspector at a State Farm certified repair shop I understand Insurance providers label cars as total losses if the cost of repairs may exceed the value of the vehicle at the time of the accident. The car had a lot of cosmetic damage as well as airbags deployed airbags, headlights, and bumpers and parts, in general, BMW parts are very expensive. When this vehicle was in an accident it was only 2 yrars old, and there may have been no models like it in a junkyard with parts needed to repair it, so the Insurance company won"t buy expensive new parts for a used car because the cost will be too high to fix, compared to the black book value, it"s just their policy. They give you a check for the car and sell the car at auction, this is what happened in this case! That occurred before my ownership and I knowingly purchased the car after thoroughly inspecting it by placing it on a lift having an ASE Master mechanic look at it and drive it, this car has been great to me for the last couple of years with no problems. Being in the auto industry for over 20 years I understand that the insurance company doesn"t want to repair a car that cost close to 50% of the value of the car to repair it to pre-accident condition because they don"t want to take a chance the car comes back for more repairs related to the same accident after the initial repair. There are no problems from the initial accident that deemed it a total loss and if the customer would have taken the check for the repair cost and repaired it for the right price then it would not have been labeled a total loss. As I stated, this car was repaired and passed a State Safety inspection before I bought it and has been issued and clean used Illinois Title, from the previous total loss status the insurance sold it at auction as, I have a clean Illinois title in hand, it"s not a salvaged or rebuilt title. You can get a loan for this car at PNC bank or your credit union if needed, you can also get good insurance for this car. The wheels have a few scratches from parking too close to the curb. It is in 100% top mechanical condition and the car just had a paint correction done so the paint looks like a mirror. It has custom floor mats, 35% Xpel Tail light tint on the rear lights, Avery Dennison 80% ceramic film on the windshield, and 35% on the other windows so the sun doesn"t burn you, and it"s fun to drive. I just changed all brake pads and this car has no issues at all. This is close to perfect and the cleanest 320ix out there. These cars are going for $21000 in this mechanical and body condition, but because of the accident history, you will save big money. I give it a 9 out of 10. My loss your gain.
