Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 2015 Volkswagen GTI is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Vehicle Details Best offer in next week takes it. Please don’t bid if you don’t have the money! Way too many time wasters / dreamers on here hence listing it, again…lots more photos available if needed. Selling my 2015 VW GTI 2.0 Turbocharged I4 engine, with DSG dual-clutch transmission. 3-door version which is a lot rarer than the 5-door and looks better. Shifters have been enhanced with full racing shifters which are taller/wider than the standard shifters making is easier and quicker to shift. Black on black color scheme, fully leather interior which is in good condition overall, small tear to bottom of drivers side seat shown in photos. Black carpets also in very good condition, comes with 2 pairs of mats; the original carpet version and the Rubber VW GTI version. 5.8” touch screen with reverse camera all works with no problems. Bluetooth connected sound system with the full Fender speaker kit throughout the car. Very good kit, great reviews all over for that setup which offers good bass and good clean treble throughout the car. Car has 93.5K~ miles, being used a little so may increase a few hundred miles. No accidents / water damage / fires etc., and the car has had good maintenance making this one of the best options out there. The car has gone through a full-service at the VW dealership, with a full 50-point checkup. There were several recommendations which were addressed and fixed, including a sensor which is flagging up a ‘check engine light’ on the dashboard. Fresh NY state inspection completed a month or so ago and 2 years NY registration just put on. 4 new tires have been put on the car in the last 12-18 months, good tread left on these. No issue’s with brakes at present, would need reviewing maybe after another 5-10k miles. The car had a full turbo replacement at VW at the end of 2019 when the car was on about 73K miles. There was a failure with the original turbo, this can happen when they hit higher mileages and it’s not cheap to fix. This car had the full replacement of the turbo, recalibration etc. and all done by VW dealership ensuring everything was removed, replaced and rebuilt properly. Cost about $3.5k. The car has an Injen SP Series Cold Air Intake kit. COBB not included. Car is completely stock elsewhere with no exhaust, wheel or body work modifications. Below I’ve highlighted some areas the car could do with some cleanups, improvements etc. but is all cosmetic – The wheels are pretty badly curbed in places, pictures shows this. This car spent some time in the streets of Brooklyn, NY and unfortunately met its match with some curbs. I did have VW check these to ensure the wheels themselves are good, which they are. Interior, in some parts of the center console or dash is a little chipped / peeling. This happens, not much to do other than replace some of these stock parts; Not expensive. There are also some burn marks (ones down side of driver seat, hard to see or take photos of) and a couple up on the top pillar of the driver side interior. These were here when I bought it, not overly noticeable. Paint chips are in some spots on the exterior, that’s standard for this age. There is also some bad scuffing to the rear left panel and real left side where someone has scraped their car against this in a car park. It had been fully valeted professionally last week, and will have it done again prior to buyer picking up. Photos show these areas. Dealers are selling these for up to $19-20k (plus fees and taxes) with 90-130K miles on, without any turbo replacements or solid work complete. Salvage ones are going for $10-12k! These cars are going to continue to rise up in value, they are becoming rarer as the production was relatively slim in 2015/16/17 and with current production and supply chain issues, these are continuing to rise as you can see. The insurance is also pretty well priced for these cars overall performance level. The best offer/bid takes a clean car with a recent full-service by VW dealership, including an inspection and check-over of the overall cars condition. Sold as seen, no warranty.
