If you don’t know what that is, it is a vehicle where Mercedes Benz technicians go through the entire vehicle and do a comprehensive check on every single component of the car. Once that’s done, IF the car passes, it is designated as “Certified Pre Owned,” or CPO, by Mercedes Benz. Then, the new buyer then gets a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty covering everything! It is BETTER than the factory warranty as the miles are unlimited and everything covered for 3 years! The CPO warranty ended on 11/30/2019. The only warranty work done was for the tilt wheel, which was stuck and repaired. Regular maintenance always completed. But, the good news is that I purchased an extended warranty when I bought the vehicle in 2016. I paid $3,750 for a two year Mercedes Benz bumper to bumper warranty and that is included in the price of the vehicle. It doesn"t expire until 11/30/2021. HISTORY - One of my very good friends and golf buddies special ordered this beauty from Mercedes Benz of Kansas City with a list price of $103,305. You can see the high dollar options it has from the window sticker! I’d told him I wanted to buy this when he was ready to trade, so he called me two years later when he special ordered his new one. I wanted a “Certified” vehicle and went to the dealership and negotiated to have them certify it and then sell the car to me after his new one came in. He is 74 years old and I’ll be 70 in July, so this vehicle has all of its history and has never been abused, damaged and always garaged in a climate controlled garage. I only drove the car about 4,000 miles in the past 12 months, and about the same in in 2019, so with 4 cars, it doesn’t make much sense to keep it, especially since it is under a factory Mercedes extended warranty. I"m selling 3 of my vehicles and downsizing to a Mercedes Station Wagon. All records, including the original window sticker, manuals, receipts, CarFax report, etc. So, you are looking at a pristine, no damage, no paint, no excuse GL550! There are lots of GL550’s on the internet, but I doubt that there are many with these options, history and documentation! It has been garaged in a climate controlled garage since new. No wheel or curb rash and no damage! Never any paint work! NOTE – Due to crazy Kansas sales tax laws, the paperwork will go through a friend of mine that owns a car dealership. Kansas doesn’t allow sales tax credit on vehicles unless the transaction is through a car dealer. I’m buying a a Mercedes Wagon and selling this and another vehicle of mine and running these through my dealer friend will save me the Kansas 9% sales tax! I did the 60,000 Service on 2/21/2019 when the mileage was at 58,122. On 5/10/2020, 64,400 miles, I changed the oil (Mobil1), oil filter, and air filters (K&N), so this vehicle virtually needs nothing. New tires (Continental Extreme Contact) were installed on 10/25/2018 at 55,033 miles. Weathertech mats front and rear seats as well as rear hatch area. New battery (Mercedes Benz) battery installed at 67,202 miles. I always over maintain my vehicles and this need nothing. As noted, it stays in a climate controlled garage and other than a few paint chips that have been fixed, it is new perfect! I keep all records in a large binder and also scan them into my computer so I have every piece of documentation with the car. Yes, I"m particular about record keeping and maintaining my vehicles.
Mercedes Extended Warranty – When I purchased the car, even though it was a CPO vehicle, I also bought a factory Mercedes Extended Warranty for 2 years and unlimited miles at a cost of $3,750. It kicked in after the CPO warranty expired on 11/30/2019, and doesn’t expire until 11/30/2021, and there is no mileage limitation. So, you can drive this vehicle for almost 8 months with a full Mercedes warranty. I’m throwing this in with the car as it is fully transferrable. History The car needs nothing and everything works! You could buy a new one for $100,000+, but why do that when you can drive a lightly used GL550 for almost 1/3rd the price!
