Vehicle description
This Defender began life as 1994 NAS Defender 90 #2, which was purchased as a donor vehicle for a complete ground up restoration/build, performed in 2018 in the United States.
Starting with a new factory replacement galvanized chassis, this was married to a new/take off 2014 Defender 110 XS complete body which was imported from Europe. This is a complete factory body and interior with original factory paint in Santorini Black and features heated partial leather seats, power windows, a heated windshield, cubby box, etc. (the XS trim level was the highest available)
The build also features a 2.2L Puma turbo diesel engine mated to a ZF 4HP automatic transmission with a conversion by Ashcroft Transmissions (UK). The engine produces approximately 170hp and 330tq tuned and the Defender easily travels at 75mph in (relative) quiet/comfort with the air conditioning on.
It has covered 37,700km (23k miles) since restoration/build completion in 2018 and has a Massachusetts "rebuilt" branded title which will transfer to all 50 states, although this vehicle will no longer pass California CARB/smog due to the diesel engine conversion.
Many more photos and details available on request, including photos of the build in-process.
