Vehicle description

2014 Dodge Charger Pursuit (Police Interceptor) 5.7 V8 Hemi
Today I am selling my 2014 Charger Police Package with the desirable Mopar Hemi V8. This car was owned by a small municipality and in service until 2017 by the PD. In 2017 the car was transferred to the engineering department and used by the town engineer until it was retired from service. Originally the car was a black and white from what I was told and the municipality had the car painted all black. The paint job looks good from 15 feet away but it is a cheap base/clear coat paint job with imperfections. I think that a good wet sand and buff would help out. The car does have a some dents and dings to be expected and a couple of scratches, please look at the photos.
The car runs amazing! The car is still under the factory powertrain warranty that will expire the end of November. That being said the car was starting to puff some blue smoke if it idled for more than 10 minutes so I took it to the Dodge dealership. Long story short the car received two new heads, camshaft, seals, lifters, tappets, gaskets and everything else so it’s like new and runs super strong. The water pump was also going bad and the dealership replaced it along with the belt under warranty. The warranty paperwork totaled the work up to over $8,000 in engine repairs with parts and labor. Oil and coolant were both just changed within the last 500 miles. All dealership repair paperwork will be given to the new owner and the dealership stated that all repaired parts have a 24 month 24,000 mile warranty on them from the time of repair. Included with the sale is the original window sticker and sales paperwork for the car.
The car rides nice and it also just passed inspection in August. The rear tires are good and the front tires were just replaced a couple months ago (all Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires). The transmission is nice and smooth and the car is very quiet driving down the road.
All the options on the car work. The heater is hot and A/C is cold. All the power windows and lock, cruise control etc. all perform as they should. This car comes with three key fobs that all work properly with keyless entry. The headlights light up when you use the key fob and the interior lights illuminate when you open the doors to the car. The rear doors do not open from the inside like a typical police car. The car does have heated mirrors, automatic headlights, touch controls on the steering wheel for the radio along with many other convenient options to make driving it a pleasure.
The interior is in average/good condition with some wear showing, again typical of police use. The driver seat has been repaired in the past (stitched) but the rest of the seats are in very good condition. The car also had a cage so there are holes in the b pillar trim and some marks on the back of the seats from it. The dashboard is very nice as is the headliner of the car.
I use this car as a response unit for my fire department. All the emergency lighting will be removed, including the center console unless you have a need for it and I will include it for an extra $500. Emergency equipment includes: center console, high beam wig wags, strobes in rear lights, rear flasher from backup and brake lights, Federal Signal dual stage lights, spotlight, and mirror lights. Again, If you have a need for the equipment I am willing to leave it installed for an additional $500.
This car is registered, insured and titled in my name and is still being driven by me currently. I highly encourage anyone interested in the car to come out and see/drive it. Car is being sold as is and all shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Feel free to contact me with any questions about the car.
I have owned a bunch of ex police cars from Crown Victoria Police Interceptors to Ford Police Interceptor Sedans and Utilities (Taurus and Explorer) and this is by far the most fun to drive. It’s a fast, smooth car and is comfortable to drive. I just returned from an eight hour trip in it and the car performed very well and got good gas mileage. That being said I would not hesitate to drive this car cross country.
I am selling this car due to purchasing a 2016 Charger, the entire top end of the motor is new in this car and it"s the quietest running Hemi that I have ever heard, no ticks at all.
