Vehicle description
General condition -This is a great driving 5th Gen ZL1 at a discount. I"ve driven it 2300 miles since the rebuild to make sure everything was working correctly plus I love driving it. Car came with headers, cold air intake, and a tune. I ended up copying the tune into my 2013 ZL1 which has headers but I hadn"t tuned it yet and compared the tune to stock. Looks like a great tune. No check engine light which is why I copied it.
Car was crashed on the right front damaging the front bumper, right front fender, and the engine cradle impact bar was bent up. See below for a detailed list of items replaced. Paint was limited to front bumper, right fender, rear bumper and rear spoiler. Car had ZERO frame damage which is pretty rare for a rebuilt car in an accident. The engine cradle absorbed the impact and got bent up on the very front (replaced with new GM part) and the fender and bumper gave their life (replaced with new GM parts). I bought this car because I rebuilt 4 of these last year (sold 3 kept 1) and had a rear impact parts car leftover that matched perfectly with what this car needed. Plus if you google the VIN and look at the damage pics you can see how the upper frame rail was perfect beneath the damaged fender so I liked that it had no frame damage. Due to the limited damage this car cost quite a bit and after the repair cost, and a little bit of money for my time - the price is what it needs to sell for.
-Car looks great in person - look at the pics and that"s what the general condition of the car looks and feels like. But if you get up close you"ll find scratches in the paint just like any car that was driven 46k miles and wasn"t a show car. Check out the close up pics of the paint. I"ve had (4) black 5th Gen Camaros, and this one has the best luster to the paint, but it also has lots of imperfections that are visible up close.
Tire condition - BFGoodrich G-Force Comp 2 A/S Plus -Front tires are around 75% and are < 2 years old. -Rear tires 305/35/R20 (OEM size) are at the wear bar in the center of the tire, have 3/16" or so on the outside. Runs and drives fine, but will need rear tires soon - tires are $462 for two of them online.
Flaws: -Passenger window tint has two ripples in the upper right corner, tint is older and has gotten scratched up could be replaced depending on how picky the buyer is -Front seat heater doesn"t work for either seat - I"m not sure if it"s not equipped, has a bad fuse, or what. If this is a deal breaker, I can check it out by hunting down the fuse, etc. I"m busy working on my other cars and wanted to at least get this one up for sale. I have a spare switch HVAC control panel that I can swap in to try to troubleshoot it, can swap the seats with my personal ZL1 (that I also rebuilt) and make sure it"s not the seat mechanism.
Dings shown in pictures -Rear B pillar dimple (1st picture after the rear tire tread picture - probably from hail since it"s a Texas car) -Tiny dimple in quarter panel upper edge (probably from hail - 2nd pic after rear tire tread picture) -Ding right fender (3rd pic after rear tire tread picture - This was a new authentic GM fender but when it came back from paint we noticed this after we put the fender on) -Nearly imperceptible ding behind driver door rear quarter panel. 4” into quarter panel and 4” below door handle line - wouldn"t show up in a picture, but it"s there if you stare at the car under light, walk left, walk right and notice the light bending on it. Basically PDR would correct the dings should buyer want them corrected. I didn"t want to drive the price up for the buyers that don"t sweat this type of stuff.
Paint Flaws: -Hood paint was touched up near the carbon fiber insert on the driver left side with some type of brush on thicker off color black paint. They clearly didn"t spend the $16 to get the exact color match touch up paint. Correct touch up paint code is WA-8555
Replaced or repaired the following: -New GM front bumper, daylight running light, fog lights (2) -New GM right front (passenger) fender -New GM passenger seat air bag, had the original seat cover sewn back up as a new seat cover doesn"t match the color well -Replaced passenger side front lower control arm P/N 20951301 (These are $45 and they bend under the slightest impact. Hit a curb at 20mph and you"re going to be replacing it. Out of 5 ZL1s I"ve rebuilt I"ve bought 4 of these). -New GM engine cradle (metal tray that bolts to the car with 6 bolts, and the engine mounts bolt to this). - Damage was just at the very front where the bumper wraps around it. -Side curtain airbags headliner, passenger seat airbag, both front passenger seat belts. Turns out the 5th gen Camaro side curtain airbags go off if the car thinks it might roll over. This car absolutely didn"t roll over, but the impact probably gave it enough upwards momentum that it triggered the software and the side curtain airbags deployed. I replaced all of this with ones from a 19k mile 2013 ZL1 Camaro parts car that suffered a rear impact and the curtain air bags, head liner, and front seat belts were undamaged. This is probably why the car was written off as it"s pretty expensive for the parts and labor to change these out. -New battery -New windshield with HUD - windshield wasn"t damaged in the accident but it needed to be replaced due to the rear view mirror having been bumped in the past and the glass was damaged.
Payment terms: -Deposit immediately with Paypal, remaining amount preferably wire transfer, or verify cashiers check with the bank, or count cash at a bank in person together.
