Vehicle description
Up for sale is a 2013 Acura ILX 2.4L w/ Premium Package.
Additional options not listed include:
Heated Seats Bluetooth audio/Handsfree calling Moonroof/Sunroof (retractable) Motorized adjustable driver"s seat
COSMETICS:
Car is in great condition with very few minor scratches on body panels, no major dents, some scratches due to underside of front bumper on curbs.
Has been garage kept since owned by me, which was at ~27500 miles.
Clear coat is in excellent condition with no visible fade.
Interior leather is in great condition, with conditioner applied every 6 months or so.
Wheels have a few mars and marks.
Audio system has no blown speakers, still in great working condition.
MECHANICS:
Vehicle is manual transmission. I have been driving MT vehicles for 20 years and have not driven this car aggressively. Clutch pedal has no loss of pressure. Shifter notches precisely and there is little to no play when in gear.
Rear brake pads just replaced, front brake pads replaced ~10000 miles ago.
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sports, should last around another 8 - 10k miles. Needs rotation.
Since the vehicle has been in my ownership, I have only used Mobile One Full Synthetic engine oil with oil changes happening at manufacturer recommended intervals.
Intermittently when accelerating from dead stop in 1st gear, there is a clutch noise that happens that is fairly loud. I have contacted Acura customer service and they have ensured me that this does not cause any additional damage.
This model of the ILX shares the same K24 engine platform as the Honda Civic Si, and as such I have researched the clutch sound and have confirmed that many Honda Civic Si owners were having the same problem. You can read all about the issue including videos of the sound at this link: http:/ www.9thgencivic.com/forum/drivetrain-problems/53745-1st-gear-clutch-noise-44.html.
As such, I am posting the vehicle under market value as good faith to the potential buyer. Even though the sound does not affect the operation of the vehicle or the lifespan of the clutch assembly, I am reducing the price to cover most of the cost of a clutch assembly replacement.
Video of exact noise can be found here: https:/ www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn3Ncrrze9o
With that in mind, I will still take offers on the vehicle, but will not move from the price listed much.
