2012 Tesla Model S P85
Welcome to my listing! I am a Tesla enthusiast and have been following this amazing company for the last 9 years. This car was purchased in March of 2019 and I am the 3rd owner. The reason for the sale, is I already have another Model S and I am in the process of purchasing a new Model X so I will need the garage space. This is an amazing opportunity to get an incredible car at an incredible price. Even with the 227,000 miles, she still turns heads at every corner!
For those that are unfamiliar with how these cars work, they are very different from your standard ICE vehicles. Miles don"t mean quite as much since there is no engine. The main thing is minor wear and tear, but I can tell you that the previous owner did the majority of these miles on the highway and this car has lived in southwern California for the majority of those miles.
I picked up this car last year and it has been in Texas since. Huge difference between an 85 and a P85. Was originally a $10,000 upgrade. The difference is 0 to 60 in 4.2 vs 5.6!
Upgrades:
The 85 kWh battery pack was replaced with a brand new battery pack by Tesla under warranty in January 2019. Current Full Range Charge: 249 Miles Don"t be fooled by others with fake numbers, that is your actual EPA highway mileage for this vehicle. ($18,000 Value)
The motor was replaced at 155k miles under warranty in 2018.
The spoiler was changed out professionally with an brand new OEM spoiler in March 2019. ($750 Value)
The MCU was also upgraded and changed out with a brand new MCU in January 2019. ($6,000 Value)
The subframe was changed out completely in September of 2019 ($2,700 Value)
Two of the door handles have been upgraded and changed to the soft pull 2.0 door handles. ($1000 Value)
Car has been professionally detailed and is in immaculate condition. With that being said, please do note that there are naturally some nicks and scratches around the car. Standard wear and tear that comes with 227,000 miles. But all the mechanics are in tip top shape.
Defects/Disclaimers:
Minor Wheels Curb Rash (Pictures Upon Request) Two dime/pea size rock nicks on Windshield (Pictures Upon Request) Rear bumper, driver side was backed into and has a minor dent that is not very noticeable and can be repaired for around $200-$300. Rear Tires need to be replaced. Front tires are at a 6/10. Front brake pads are starting to wear, and will need to be replaced in the near future.
The car operates perfectly and you would never guess it has as many miles as it does. Due to the mileage, you may be able to save substantially in transfer Title taxes depending on your state! Huge benefit.
