Vehicle description

I"m the original owner of this car and it comes with a clear title. This car was in an accident recently, got hit by a small truck that was traveling 30 mph while I taking a left turn from a side street. The vehicle still starts right up and can be driven a very short distance at low speed around the yard (it was driven off of accident site into a parking lot). You will need to tow it out of our driveway, since the front left tire is rubbing against something. A lot of the rubber burnt off of the front left tire while driving the car off of the road after the accident, but the set of wheels on the car are junkyard rims with 7 year old snow tires. These can be replaced with the set of 4 stock rims and 1 year old all season tires mounted on them that I am including in the auction (and are pictured). The hubcaps are also included- they snap on fine but are scratched up. The repair list from the body shop is included in the photos. This could be a good cheap project for the backyard mechanic. About $600 of that repair estimate is tax and labor and I"m sure you"ll find much cheaper parts online or at local junkyards, this could also serve a good collection of parts to aid fixing another like car, the transmission and motor alone are worth $1k if bought separately with similar mileage. The car has always been very reliable and gets 35-40 mpg, never required any mechanical repairs aside from oil changes and front brakes, rear brakes are original and would need to be replaced soon. Interior condition average for age and mileage. Study the photos very carefully along with the repair list, they both show exactly what you are getting and the car is sold strictly as-is. Must be picked up locally within a week, will not ship under any circumstances. Here are some answers to recent questions:
1) The estimate was generated by the body shop for me as a repair estimate, not for an insurance company. I only had liability coverage and not full collision on the car.
2) I was told by the body shop that the frame appears to be fine.
3) The body shop did not tell me there was any damage to the axel and I am not mechanically inclined so I can"t tell if there is any myself. I would doubt it considering the car was hit by a tiny old Nissan Frontier at 30 mph.
4) The only other things the body shop mentioned in addition to the provided repair list is the possibility of having to replace plastic radiator support rods and something called a "curtain", however they said there is no way to know if those are needed until the car is torn apart in the repair process.
5) If you would like to see the car before bidding call or text me at (860) 371-1662 and I"ll meet you at my parents house where it is parked. I work close by and can be there within minutes. Please remember before bidding that this should be considered as a project car or a large collection of good cheap parts to aid working on a like vehicle and that it is sold as-is.
