Vehicle Details This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of automotive history.This Yellow Jacket, SRT8 edition Challenger is only one of 669 Automatic Yellow Jackets made for 2012. Only 1310 Yellow Jacket Challengers were made in 2012. This particular car has a very unique history and was owned by one previous senior owner (including myself). This car is absolutely un-molested. No modifications, changes or even window tint.The original owner purchased the car brand new for his wife as an anniversary gift. As luck would have it; she tragically passed away just months after receiving it. Her grief stricken husband garaged and covered this car for the next nine years. His kids decided that he had to go to an assisted living facility and thus they sold the car to Jennings Chevrolet in Glenview Illinois. I purchased this car from Jennings in 2019, and my daughter and I flew out there from Denver. We drove it back home reminiscing while traveling on old Route 66. What a fantastic father/daughter trip of a lifetime. We hit some rain on the way back and that was the only time that this car has seen any kind of weather since I've owned it.The car had just over 3000 miles when I purchased it. It now has 6907 miles. I have kept it garaged and covered since owning it. This car is as close to new as you can possibly get. There are now flaws, defects, stains or imperfections in the interior at all and it still smells new. I just noticed an extremely small and virtually un noticeable imperfection on the right front fender just in front of the door where something must have bumped up against it while it was sitting in the garage covered. The exterior is next to new and looks absolutely gorgeous. There is no fading, oxidation or paint imperfections whatsoever and the dual chrome exhaust tips as well as the stinger yellow paint shine as new.The 6.4 liter engine rumbles quietly yet puts out 470 Horsepower and 470 foot pounds of torque. This car is an automatic and has steering wheel paddle shifters. It also has the track and sport modes if you dare. For your entertainment; it has a factory installed Harmon Kardon 18 speaker sound system with built in subwoofers in the trunk. The interior has factory embroidered, yellow jacket insignias on the heated leather and suede seats. The SRT embellished steering wheel is of course heated and leather wrapped.All four wheels are factory 20" x 9" aluminum wheels with DODGE center caps. All four wheels are perfect in every way and have NO curb rash. The tires are at least 85%. This car came factory with BREMBO brakes all around and the stopping power is second to none! I changed the oil and filter after getting it home with roughly 4200 miles using nothing but the best Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0-40W pure synthetic oil and factory MOPAR oil filter. I just changed it again on 09/15/21, using the same quality materials as before.I had Johnson Auto Plaza install a new water pump and flush the coolant system after I got the car. The car had sat for several years by the previous owner and the pump gasket dried out a bit. You can literally eat off the bottom of this car. There are absolutely no leaks, smells, odd noises, squeaks, rattles, spills or any other imperfections whatsoever. This car really is a gem. The car came with the factory user's guide in a booklet and also a CD that has never been opened.I can assure you that this car has never been abused in any way. I have not as much "chirped" the tires on this car. I have always wanted to keep this car as pristine as it was when I first got it.You may be asking why I am parting with it. I have a Hellcat Challenger and a 2010, R/T Furious Fuscia Challenger as well. The insurance is a bit too much so my Yellow Jacket and my 2015, Kawasaki ZX14R with 1497 miles must go as well. I'm a 62 year old guy and I really have to start "thinning the herd" before retirement.
