2012 ASTON MARTIN V12 VANTAGE "CARBON BLACK’ - MANUAL KEY FACTS Number 22 of 40 ‘Carbon Black II’ special editions of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, and one of only five finished in Azurite Black. Under the bonnet is the 510bhp 5.9-litre ‘AM11’ V12, coupled to the six-speed manual gearbox. It benefits from a comprehensive annual service history, performed at Aston Martin Beverly Hills until 2020. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES While the original ‘Carbon Black’ series was exclusively finished in black paintwork, Aston Martin produced a numbered run of these cars in selected markets in 2012-13, which have become known as ‘Carbon Black II’. This version of the ‘Carbon Black’ specification introduced more paint colour choices, but all of the exterior trims – apart from the wing badges – were finished in black. The grille, exhaust tailpipes, window surrounds, and wheels were all black; and the car also had the Carbon Exterior Pack featuring carbon lamp infills, mirror caps, and side strakes. Specified in Azurite Black – appearing as deep purple in certain light conditions – it was ordered with Obsidian Black upholstery featuring red contrast stitching, Alcantara seat centre panels, and Piano Black interior trims. The door handles and gear shift surround are finished in carbon-fibre. Numbered plaques confirm this as car number 22 of the 40 ‘Carbon Black II’ cars delivered to the US. Its wheels house carbon-ceramic brake discs, accented by red calipers. Optional equipment included the B&O Beosound audio system, heated front seats, a secondary glass ‘ECU’ car key, front parking sensors and the branded umbrella. Its original owner’s manuals and service book will be included, along with a raft of maintenance invoices and the tyre repair kit. CONDITION No known bodywork damage. Its original Azurite Black paintwork benefits from a full XPEL paint protection film layer and ceramic coating. Inside, its Obsidian Black leather and Alcantara upholstery presents with slight creasing on the seat bolsters, but no significant wear. No electrical faults have been detected. SERVICE HISTORY Its most recent major service was in November 2020 at 7,293 miles, at Galpin Classic Auto Service in California. It also had a mini service in January of 2022 (new battery and fluids). Prior to this, it was cared for exclusively by Aston Martin Beverly Hills.
