Vehicle description
2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser "Not So Special" Trail Team edition. See Fj Cruiser Forum for article explaining these (only 51 came in to the US before fully equipped Trail Teams versions appeared in March 2011. I bought this in Raleigh NC last yr and had planned to keep it and continue to modify. ( I bought one of the 1st ones in 2007 w manual 6 speed and the full time 4 wheel drive and loved it but unfortunately sold it to buy something else) I really dig this one the way it is set up on 35s and of course the TT Army Green but have decided to look for another manual. I have documentation of some work I did as soon as I bought it since I had planned to use as daily driver and of course for off road. Some of the highlights are new timing chains and tensioners, guides, oil pump assembly cover and rotors and all necessary fluids/gaskets/O-rings and also replaced the power steering pump as well. New OEM struts were replaced up front because of the miles. I also had the tires "shaved" old school, and rebalanced to assure excellent ride quality on road (Interstate speeds are remarkably smooth and stable now!) The TPMS warning light is on due to the fact that the spare tire sensor needs to be replaced. If you are a fan and have been paying attention lately, you realize these things have steadily been going up in price - that"s why I need to move on finding my next!
