Vehicle description
CLEAN - NO ROT. Texas owned until I bought it. Super clean underneath. NO RESERVE - bid to win
This is a plain Jane xl model (manual everything) with a 5.0 coyote engine & automatic transmission.
It does have a couple issues, but I"m going to start off with the good.
The good: 1 - did not spend its life in the midwest, so absolutely no cancer 2 - Runs (good power & no rattles), drives, shifts, stops, AC works, steering tight. 3 - I bought tires new & probably are still about 90% tread - not many miles put on them.
The Bad: 1 - It has a low oil pressure issue that only shows up when the outside temperature is above 70 degrees. I changed the oil and also the oil pressure sending unit, but when it"s hot outside and the engine is running hot enough to kick on the electric fan - sometimes when you are at a red light - the low pressure warning comes on. If you put the engine in neutral, so there is no load - the RPMS come up about 100 rpm and the light will go out. I have been driving it that way for about a year - I do not know what the problem is (i"m guessing an oil pump?). It will not do happen to you now that it is winter time - you probably won"t notice anything until spring.
2. I installed the new tires because I have a tire machine, but I never got them balanced because i don"t own a balancer. I only drive it locally, so I never bothered - it has a noticeable shake at higher speeds, but it"s not bad and is perfectly drivable.
3. the steering works well, but if you turn the wheel ALL the way to right - it will set off an alarm that says "service advancetrac & service brakes". If you only turn it 98% of the way, but do not go until it hits the stops - it never makes the alarm go off. When you shut the truck off and restart - the alarm goes away. It"s more an annoyance than anything, but i never cared to do anything about it because it"s just a work truck to me - not a show truck.
Other than those 3 things, it"s really a very solid truck. Look closely at the photos underneath - from a corrosion standpoint, it"s almost like a new truck. If you work on these fords and know how to fix those problems - you can get yourself a good deal because I"m selling with no reserve. I bought myself a 4wd truck, so I just want this one to go away.
I took the photos several months ago, but the truck pretty much looks the same. It"s not perfect and has some scratches that are hard to see in the photos - don"t expect a perfect truck.
Cash is best. Otherwise - you will not be taking the vehicle until the check clears & that usually takes about a week. There are too many scams these days, so Cash is best.
Fly into Cleveland and I can meet you at the airport or local pickup. I will not deliver. I will work with your shipper to get it loaded - there are a few different places nearby (2 miles away) that have very large parking lots for semi trucks, if you are wanting to have it hauled.
I consider myself a very honest seller, so if you think i was not truthful about the condition, you can walk away & no hard feeling. Please only bid if you intend to actually buy it - I"ve heard every excuse. Lets not waste each others time.
