Vehicle description
2011 Ford 4x4 E-350 Cargo Crew Van with Quigley 4x4 conversion Disclaimer: Does not have the tire and lockbox on the bumper as shown in the off road pictures. 2011 Ford 4x4 E-350 Cargo Crew Van With factory Quigley 4x4conversion I ordered and received the van in 2011. We started the development of a camper van and over theyears it has had many configurations. We built a bed platform in the back and purchased a rooftoptent in the beginning. I added a fold-down bench seat so we could sleep in thevan with the four of us with our dogs in less secure areas. As our children got older and we needed more space it turnedinto a sports van to move our kayaks and canoes, bikes, and other adventureequipment. While we did lots of beach camping, trips to the woods,Florida, Maine, Assateague Island Maryland, Colorado, etc. most of the driving wason the highway to get to and I was looking for a way to improve the handling ofa fully-loaded 4x4 van especially at highway speeds. With the addition of the Agile off-road RIP kit, theimprovement in handling is dramatic. This van wants to be loaded! It drives much better thanstock empty but shines best when loaded. The heavier the better! Once the axleswere regeared to 5:13 to bringing the gearing back to the stock range with thelarger ties the fuel mileage and power came back With some of our adventures taking us way off the beatenpath I added larger tires, a winch cradle with a 12,000 LB winch, and a Hi-Liftjack. We have done some serious off-roading without any damage orgetting stuck. The only time the winch was used was to pull out 2 jeeps andflip an overturned jeep back over. While we have used the van it has never been abused. I am anexperienced off-roader with a jeep Cherokee rock crawler and so I have gottenthe van to some incredible locations but never pushed it more than it can do. The oil is changed every 5,000 miles with full syntheticoil, axle, and drivetrain fluids changed every 40,000. The motor does not use or burn any oil, has no leaks, inexcellent operating condition. Minor scratches from trail brush and some minor rust on thebottom of the doors and rockers. Seats 5 with rear partition, power windows, a/c, added driver side window and venting passenger-sidesecond-row venting glass, back up camera, passenger seat swivel base. I havethe factory rear bench seat as well as a bench seat that folds down to a bedthat we used for camping. -Gas V-10 6.8 Liter with an STC tuner 105,000 miles on themotor, transmission, and transfer case. -4 Speed Auto, and factory 2-speed transfer case -5 34” BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires on aluminum wheelswith additional offset. 70% rubber left. -Re geared Dana 60 Axles with 5:13 axle gears with rear limited-slip(less than 10k miles on the re-gearing and limited-slip) to correct the gearingfor the larger tires (stock gearing was 4:10) -Magna-Hytec diff covers -Agile Off Road Ride Improvement Package installed. 2” liftfront spring, re arched rear spring with add a leaf, rebuildable Fox 2.0 tunedshocks, and steering stabilizer.
