Vehicle description
2011 BMW X5 XDRIVE35I. AWD Twin Turbo 6 cyl. Panamora Sunroof. Power Everything. Electric Hatch. Heated Seats. Electric seats and electric tilt. The little car had almost everything you would want. It has some scratches but overall a very good looking X5. Has one rim with some scuffing. Interior is in good condition and the leather seats have no rips or tears. All electronics work as they should. Factory stereo sounds good and has an in-dash 6-disc changer. Has sensor system for front and back but not a camera. Factory Bluetooth phone. I added a bluetooth radio adapter for music as well. Run Flat tires with good tread left. Very fun to drive, sporty small SUV. LOTS of power with those twin turbos. Did I mention it is really fun to drive?
The special part. . I don"t know for sure what it is, but the car has an engine rattle from about 2500 rpm to 3500 rpm. It only has 112K miles on it. We have looked for loose brackets, loose exhaust, whatever we can think of. Compression was great, we did a tune up etc. Still a rattle. We are suspecting the rod bearings are starting to rattle. I am being told that is a common problem with these vehicles.
Either way, I don"t have the time or a place to really tear into it myself. So assuming it is the rod bearings, the rod bearing kit with gaskets for this car is about $600 or $700 if you can do it yourself.
BID ACCORDINGLY. I AM SELLING THIS AS-IS. Please don"t bid if you don"t want it. I really don"t want to see it go but no time to mess with it. Ask any questions. Very low reserve just so I don"t give it away.
