I bought this along with a few other cars from the auto auction Copart website in hopes of flipping them and making a little extra money.
DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT NEARBY OR HAVE NO WAY OF TOWING IT AWAY AND PAYING WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF END OF AUCTION. SO DO NOT WASTE MY TIME LIKE LAST TWO WINNERS OUT OF THE COUNTRY BIDDING AND WINNING. SO PLEASE IF YOU BID AND YOU WIN PLEASE COME AND TOW THE CAR AWAY AND PAY FOR IT.
Copart had it online auction stating it runs and drives, Sadly that was not the case when we shipped it to us. It did act like it wanted to start however we quickly turned it off as it started smoking in the back.
A buddy of mine said he thinks it has a head gasket issue. I did replace the battery that cost $200 as it was ohm battery, As far as I know, the electric battery is fine.
I paid about $3,100 for this car and clearly, I will lose on this one.
By the carfax reports it was well taken care of until it got into an accident by the last owner hitting a deer, Since then the whole front end has been replaced before I won it on auction.
Inside is like mint cond, very clean nice looking inside and outside. Just needs some engine work, I had some locals offer me over $1000 for parts out of it however I did not want to part it out rather just sell it to someone as a whole.
blue book value sits around $6,000 to $7,000.
This would be a good car for someone who tinkers on cars as I do not know how to fix anything like this.
