I am the original and only owner of this car. I bought it new and it has been my daily driver from the time I bought it until I bought my Tesla Model 3 and began driving that instead. I am selling the Roadster because I do not need the extra car. I have had all maintenance done. It has never been in an accident and is in perfect running condition. It is not pristine, as it has been driven regularly, but is in excellent condition. One flaw: One of the heater control knobs is missing. The control works fine without the knob as the shaft is easy to turn. The car has always been kept in my garage. It has the Alpine double-DIN "Infotainment" system, which is a CD player stereo and GPS navigation system. It also has leather seats.
The car comes with one set of wheels and two sets of tires, summer and winter. The front winter tires are in excellent condition, the summer tires and the rear winter tires are in good condition.
It comes with two chargers, both original Tesla equipment. There is a 110-v charger that plugs into a standard 110/120-v outlet, and there is a 240-v charger that plugs into an RV-style outlet, NEMA 14-50 which must be on a 50-amp circuit. The car will draw 40 amps on this charger for a charging rate of about 30 miles of range for each hour of charging. The 110-v charger is very slow and is intended only for emergencies or to maintain a charge when the car is not in use.
The car comes with the original cloth top and the aftermarket Taylor mesh top. The Taylor mesh top lets in about half the sunlight and about half the wind, which I find perfect on hot sunny days. With the top completely open I find it too windy on the freeway, but with the mesh top it"s perfect.
For this reason I"ve never used the A/C (which the car does have). The heater is instantaneous and powerful, warming the cabin in just a couple of minutes in cold weather.
If you"ve never driven an electric car, you"re in for a thrill. The instant torque will throw your head back and the single speed transmission means no shifting for a smooth ride from a stand-still to freeway speed. Tesla only built 2,500 of these cars, so don"t miss the chance to own one now.
