Vehicle description
Mini Clubman . 5 Door. 2 window sunroof. Condition is Used. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION:
For sale for parts or repair. We are selling the whole car as parts, not one piece at a time. The car is being sold “as-is” and is being sold as described. The buyer MUST arrange for transportation from Hollywood Florida 33020. (I do know someone locally who is in the auto transport business and can provide the buyer with the contact information if needed.) The car was originally purchased from a Dealer in Wisconsin and shipped to us in South Florida in September of 2015. We calculated that the car was driven for 186 miles before the engine went out. The dealer in Wisconsin was little or no help as the car was purchased “as-is”. They offered to give an estimate of repair IF we would have shipped the car back to Wisconsin. Since we already had a dealer here in South Florida diagnose it, this would be an added cost with no benefit. In October 2015, We had a local automotive shop replace the engine with a good used one from LKQ that had 48,000 miles on it. We were given a 3 year warranty. The total cost was over $6100.00. In February of 2016, the Transmission went out. Again, we had the transmission replaced with an LKQ transmission with 31,000 miles. The cost was $3000.00. After that, the car was in and out of the same shop several times, 2 axles, ignition coils, as well as normal maintenance. In June of 2018, the Transmission went out again. This time it is not the transmission itself but rather the transmission input shaft seal. The seal cost is like $44.00, but it is like $1600.00 labor to replace it. We were given a 2 year warranty, but it went out a few months after the warranty expired. This car was my wife"s little baby and she drove it as such. She took care of it impeccably. It was never driven "hard" and we have no idea why it kept breaking down. The damage reported didn"t even exceed $400.00 in repairs, the right front wheel replacement and a re-alignment. I drove into a curb to avoid hitting another vehicle that was backing up in the roadway. No other damage occurred. The car has been sitting ever since. I do have a trickle charger on it to maintain the battery and i start it a few times per month. Current mileage on the car is 116555 . Engine mileage is less than 68,000 miles, and about 47,500 miles on the transmission. All documentation is available upon request. The title is clear and will be sent with the car. We also have 2 electronic key fobs that will be sent as well. We are not going to have it repaired again. We have now decided to sell it for parts. No way are we going to recover anything close to what it has already cost us, but someone can get a very good engine and transmission to use for another car or just fix this one. FYI: Recently, the rear door mechanism stopped working and the passenger door don"t open from the outside. These are electronic i believe. The buyer must make the DEPOSIT payment to the seller within 24 hours of the close of the auction. Accepted method of payment is: CERTIFIED BANK CHECK OVERNIGHT VIA FedEx. Balance of full payment must be received within 3 business days of the close of the auction. The buyer must make his own arrangements for shipping/removal from the sellers’ property. The vehicle must be removed from the sellers’ property within 7 business days of the close of the auction. If the buyer fails to remove the vehicle from the sellers’ property within the 7 business days allowed, the transaction will be cancelled and the buyer will forfeit any and all monies paid to the seller. All shipping or freight arrangements are the sole responsibility and expense of the buyer and the seller does not charge any fees for shipping or freight.
