2009 Jeep Patriot 2WD Automatic 2.4L Four Cylinder
TRANSMISSION DOES NOT WORK! ! ! ! ! ! ! NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING! ! ! ! ! Great parts vehicle with excellent interior and very good body and tires!
This Jeep Patriot has been sitting in a paved parking space for four years. The body is in very good condition with a small area of rust above the rear passenger wheel and another small area on the bottom of the driver"s side front door. The interior is all in excellent shape and all of the electronics work when it is hooked up to a battery or jumper cables. All glass is perfect and tires are inflated and still have use.
Four years ago the transmission became stuck in drive and then stuck in reverse. These vehicles are known to have severe transmission problems. The engine ran perfectly when the car was parked but the battery became carotid and needed to be pulled. The battery cable was damaged in the process by battery acid and so were some of the wire coverings near the battery. I attempted to jump the vehicle on 3/20/2021 by attaching jumper cables and the engine did not turn over. The lights and electricity worked and I was able to get the exact current mileage. There is no battery in the vehicle currently but cables can be hooked up to view electronics.
