Vehicle description
Offered for sale is this beautiful 2009 CTS-V sedan with 39,413 miles. I am the original owner and the car is in excellent condition. It has the 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine has 556 hp and 551 lb-ft of torque. It has every option, including the panoramic sunroof, the Recaro sport seats (heated and cooled), suede wheel and shifter and the Thunder Gray Chromaflair paint. This paint appears to shift colors as the light changes. There are no dents, door-dings on the sides or curb-damage on the polished alloy wheels. Paint is still as shiny as new – please see pictures for how hard they were to take with the reflections. Likewise the interior is in excellent condition - I placed a black towel on the center console to avoid any wear from the arm rest. It’s a third vehicle for me – mostly used for commuting on nice days. It’s always been garage kept, never been raced, never seen snow, and generally not rain, so I wouldn’t need to wash it again. Oil changes were always synthetic – first at 500 miles, then every 5000 miles. When I bought this car, I planned to keep it forever. But my wife and I have started building a new house in the mountains, and the closest paved road to our property is about a mile. The CTS-V is NOT a good vehicle for gravel roads. As such, I have ordered a new RAM TRX truck, which will replace this as my ‘performance’ vehicle. This CTS-V is priced at $31,000 - about $3000 less than the KBB trade-in value for very-good condition. I believe it would be considered excellent condition, but I chose ‘very-good’ to be conservative. This is also $3000 MORE than the dealer actually offered me as trade. As such, I am prepared to offer the following discount. The dealer is willing to do a ‘courtesy’ trade, where I can bring them a buyer for my CTS-V and they will give me that amount for trade-in purposes and that amount will be credited against the sales tax on my new vehicle. If the buyer is willing to go that route, I will lower the price to $29,000. However, the dealer is not yet able to give me a delivery date on the TRX, and this ‘courtesy trade’ MUST be executed at the same time I take delivery of the TRX. So if the buyer wants to take advantage of this discount, we will not be able to transfer the CTS-V until the TRX is delivered. The official statement from RAM is that first deliveries should be by the end of the year, but that is not guaranteed. I will park the CTS-V in the garage, cover-it, and guarantee the mileage will not change – and I will provide the dealer’s contact information so that the buyer can verify my order and the courtesy trade option. I will start the car weekly to heat up the fluids. I would require a $3000 deposit for this option – if I am unable to deliver the CTS-V in the same condition and mileage as when inspected, I will return the deposit – but otherwise it would be non-refundable.This CTS-V is located in Somerset, PA - zip code 15501. Local inspections and test drives with serious buyers can be arranged at a public location. Inspections by a mechanic can be arranged at buyers expense. I can ship the vehicle if necessary, but buyer would need to make all arrangements. I would very strongly recommend personally inspecting the vehicle to confirm its excellent condition. Payment must be either bank transfer or cashier’s check. For cashier’s check, my bank will contact the buyer’s bank to verify the check’s authenticity.
