Vehicle description
Volvo XC90 for sale.
This vehicle has been owned by my family for 13 years. We got it shipped from Sweden back in 2008 and we have been the sole owners. It has been the best, most reliable car we have ever used but it is now time to let it go.
It currently drives great! The most pressing issue is that there is a leak in the power steering line that we need to top off every 2-3 months depending on mileage. It begins to feel tight and that"s when we know it needs a top off.
It is in need of work in order to likely pass the next inspection depending on the state you are in. The two main things I would suggest to replace would be:
-front pipe -both front axles/CV joints (You"ll notice a small clicking noise as you put the car in drive or reverse and occasionally while turning the wheel)
Other repairs/recommendations needed but not as urgent include:
-new tailgate pistons (we have a great stick that keeps it open now we can include in the sale for you! But the trunk does not stay open on its own) -new subframe bolts -steering rack and wheel alignment -the paint on the hood is chipping and minor rust spots are forming
Lastly the aux port for the stereo is finicky-for the past few years we get it to work by giving it a good ol Fonz whack! Some days it works perfect but other days it is unreliable. Alas, but it"s fun to whack it and have it work all of a sudden!
I believe that"s all! She definitely needs work but the engine is in great shape even at 260K- we are selling it because we don"t have a use for it anymore and we hope it can go to a nice new home. Good memories in this car!
I will be getting an oil change and final top off of fluids this week.
