Vehicle description
* Engine has a rod knock* selling as-is. This car has been my daily driver for the last two and a half years. It has been extremely reliable until it developed a rod knock. I stopped the car immediately and had it towed home to minimize any damage. Video of rod knock sound. . https:/ youtu.be/qH0yNHDMMUU As you can see, the engine still runs. You could potentially drive it home, but I would recommend having it towed.
The engine was built once before with aftermarket forged pistons before I bought it at around 70,000 miles so you should be able to just have the crank and rods reconditioned and put in new bearings. Then you"d have a very reliable platform good for around 450-500 HP. If you do the work yourself you should be looking at around $1,000. You can get a whole new short block for $1,500-$2,000 if you don"t want to go the rebuild route. I just don"t have the time to do it right now.
The car has full bolt-ons with a slightly larger than stock Tomei ARMS turbo. It made 377 AWHP on pump gas and would be good for over 400AWHP on E85 or race gas. There is an extensive list of modifications totaling over $20K in parts and labor. I have all the receipts from the previous owner. The car will come with the stock wheels with 265/40/18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires as well as the black wheels pictured which have tires on them, but they"re shot.
Major Mods:
Tomei ARMS M7960 Turbo
New ACT SB10-XTSS Clutch and lightened steel flywheel
Cobb catted turbo back exhaust
Grimmspeed top mount intercooler
Cobb intake
TGV deletes
Air pump delete
ID1000 Injectors
DW 265 LPH fuel pump
Aftermarket sway bars and end links
265/40/18 MPSS tires with 1/2-3/4 tread
AEM wideband and boost gauges
New brakes all around
